Is revenue sharing really NIL though? It's just because of NIL, no?
Would this be an incentive for players to avoid the exit portal, avoid entering the NFL early and staying for their full eligibility? Seems to be where football players are going before they are ready.
Not sure I understand what you mean. The increase is being referred to as a "talent fee." So yes, its revenue to the university, and yes its being shared with the players. In the end, its just a mechanism to raise money for NIL, no matter the label.
But, they say the waiting list is 15,000. So, if you gave them up, probably wouldnāt get them back. And you only get Oklahoma and Georgia as good opponents because of neutral site in Atlanta against SyracuseI just got my invoice for the 2025 football season tickets. the cost will be $1,815.76. I checked bask to 2018 and the cost for the same seats was $875.00. a 93 percent increase. of that increase, $620 is for priority Fund and $152 for Talent Fee. We have 4 straight games on the road vs, Alabama, Florida, Kentucky, and Mississippi State. We don't play Texas, Ole Miss, South Carolina, Auburn LSU, Texas A&M, Or Missouri.
yeah next year's schedule at home isn't greatI just got my invoice for the 2025 football season tickets. the cost will be $1,815.76. Not really. It sounds like you're working from the "capacity" figure which is completely made up. There have never been 102,455 seats in Neyland or whatever figure it is now. That still leaves like 75kish but I get it.
Well, you know, 10 bucks is 10 bucks, as they say. They've said they want a salary cap, so depending on how they dole it out, it may not be enough money to be an overriding factor, but it certainly is a factor.Would this be an incentive for players to avoid the exit portal, avoid entering the NFL early and staying for their full eligibility? I can almost guarantee there isnāt a 15,000 person waiting list for season tickets. Thatās a smokescreen for marketing purposes. I donāt doubt they have received a lot of season ticket inquiries by phone/email over the last two years, but thereās no āwaiting listā with 15,000 names on it waiting for the phone to ring.Iām pretty sure that theyāre talking about 13,000 season tickets. While Danny White is claiming that thereās a waiting list of 15,000 to artificially stir up the demand.
Based on 70,500 season tickets sold at $450 per ticket (all tickets are $450 while the annual per seat donations are what fluctuate based on seat location), a 10% Talent Fee just on the ticket price is nearly $3.2 million in new revenue.Going to be interesting to see if there is any accounting transparency to whom it all went to and how much. Guess you can assume how much is collected based on # of season tickets sold. Should season ticket holders see that data?
