10% "Talent Fee" added to ticket prices in 2025

Would this be an incentive for players to avoid the exit portal, avoid entering the NFL early and staying for their full eligibility? Seems to be where football šŸˆ players are going before they are ready.

Is revenue sharing really NIL though? It's just because of NIL, no?

Not sure I understand what you mean. The increase is being referred to as a "talent fee." So yes, its revenue to the university, and yes its being shared with the players. In the end, its just a mechanism to raise money for NIL, no matter the label.

Depends on what their agent says he can get them next year at X university, as opposed to staying at Y. And of course having them bid against each other.

Going to be interesting to see if there is any accounting transparency to whom it all went to and how much. Guess you can assume how much is collected based on # of season tickets sold. Should season ticket holders see that data?

I just got my invoice for the 2025 football season tickets. the cost will be $1,815.76. I checked bask to 2018 and the cost for the same seats was $875.00. a 93 percent increase. of that increase, $620 is for priority Fund and $152 for Talent Fee. We have 4 straight games on the road vs, Alabama, Florida, Kentucky, and Mississippi State. We don't play Texas, Ole Miss, South Carolina, Auburn LSU, Texas A&M, Or Missouri.

But, they say the waiting list is 15,000. So, if you gave them up, probably wouldnā€™t get them back. And you only get Oklahoma and Georgia as good opponents because of neutral site in Atlanta against Syracuse

yeah next year's schedule at home isn't great

If we're in the conversation year in and year out for the playoffs and National Championships I fail to see what the problem is.

That still leaves like 75kish but I get it.
Not really. It sounds like you're working from the "capacity" figure which is completely made up. There have never been 102,455 seats in Neyland or whatever figure it is now.

There were a little over 96K seats in Neyland before the renovation in 2022 (not counting the skyboxes or press box).

The 102,455 figure represented a "sold out environment" according to Fulmer when he was AD. That number includes Ticket takers, concession workers, custodial people, EMT's, etc.

Well, you know, 10 bucks is 10 bucks, as they say. They've said they want a salary cap, so depending on how they dole it out, it may not be enough money to be an overriding factor, but it certainly is a factor.

I called and got a full refund for mine. They cut underneath the legs. I bought it because I figured it was a premium product, but Iā€™m in good physical shape so the bleacher is good enough for me
Did they remove them for you?

I have 2 in D and the overall increase is 16.54%, if my math is correct. Just glad to get advance notice for planning purposes and the option to pay over 10 months.

Iā€™m pretty sure that theyā€™re talking about 13,000 season tickets. While Danny White is claiming that thereā€™s a waiting list of 15,000 to artificially stir up the demand.
I can almost guarantee there isnā€™t a 15,000 person waiting list for season tickets. Thatā€™s a smokescreen for marketing purposes. I donā€™t doubt they have received a lot of season ticket inquiries by phone/email over the last two years, but thereā€™s no ā€œwaiting listā€ with 15,000 names on it waiting for the phone to ring.

Based on 70,500 season tickets sold at $450 per ticket (all tickets are $450 while the annual per seat donations are what fluctuate based on seat location), a 10% Talent Fee just on the ticket price is nearly $3.2 million in new revenue.
