If my kid was running that mouth, well I'd say he deserved it. It's not like he jumped him.

You obviously have never been part of a heated football practice or game. Fights with teammates happen all the time. Just so happens the sophomore was dumb enough to take his helmet off.

Apparently the kid was saying crap like - I don't care about practice, we lost last week, who cares anymore, season's over, etc. right to Jac's face and stuff - and ripped his helmet off in the process while getting in his grill.

Sounds like somebody hasn't had a lot of experience with organized sports. This is a very common occurence and not nearly as big of a deal as you're trying to make it. I have no problem with the suspension, but to try and paint this as some horrendous act is laughable.

Kid must be very dumb. You never take your helmet off. But I do agree that it is unacceptable to be punching teammates. And yes I have been in my fair share of football fights, but never punched anyone.

Good luck man, I know how you feel. Back in the day we lost in the first round to Morristown West. We were ranked #1 in the state. A guy named James Stewart ran all over us in the mud. It aint a good feeling.... I know....

i sure hope i dont go out like that either. we got 2 games left til the state champ game... its gonna be tough
