I respect him for that. If I had a son that was being recruited by UT and any other major D1 schools, my hope is that he would take every trip offered to him and in the end commit to our beloved vols. Nothing wrong with seeing how inferior other facilities are to UT:happy:

Kids the real deal. He was asked on Kevin Scotts radio show the other night who his favorite college player was. I was thinking he was gonna say Tebow, Harvin, Sanchez, Stafford, etc. He comes out and says Jason Smith of Baylor...gotta love it.

I really like this kid. I would ecstatic if we signed Clemmons, Tait, Green/Wilson, and Stone/Henderson (or both) to go along with Jose i would be ecstatic.

or because he is a legacy...

CLK and Coach O aren't handing out scholarships just for being a legacy. It helps to have the pedigree and connections but the legacy part went over more with the old staff for offers than the new one. You get offered because you can play their style of O. The legacy works more in the school's favor than the prospects.

He will prob be a vol come signing day if it even takes that long. He has been waiting on the TN offer.

Per Barton Simmons on Rivals:

Clemmons was one of the most intriguing prospects on the field Monday. He stands at or very near 6 feet 7 and though he is thin right now he has the frame to add a lot of good weight. A pure tackle prospect, Clemmons moves extremely well for a player of his size and has outstanding feet. Already with an offer from Stanford, Clemmons may have as much upside as any lineman at the event with the right development.

Cameron looks very lean from that picture. I agree with the Simmons statement thaat he could use more size. At 6'7" 245 lbs isn't that big. I hope he well and picks up an offer.

He'll be a lean mean 300+ by the time he sees the field for UT. He looks awesome and seems like the O lineman type these coaches prefer in terms of athletic ability.

Vanderbilt is the only school I would be concerned with. Tony wants him to go to Vandy for the education. I still got the impression his feelings wouldn't be hurt if he chose Tennessee.

Scout.com: Clemmons would love an offer from UT

We don't hear this stuff often enough....

“There is no doubt I would love to play at the University of Tennessee,” Clemmons said. “I grew up cheering for them, there is only one color allowed in our house, and that’s Orange.”

“UT Football is away of life for our family,” Clemmons said. “It’s always been a dream to play for the Big Orange, hopefully I will get that opportunity.”

we need about 6 OL....3-4 who can contribute right away

I doubt Clemmons will be able to...he will need a year or 2 to grow..maybe he will make the list

I would bet that UT signs him and then redshirts him for a "bulking up" season. Then he will be ready to play some UT FOOTBALL!!!

I don't think he did "realy" well, but he definitely impressed some people and looked alot better than Tait. I hope we get him...
