What about Clemmons?

According to the Rivals vid he was a very good performer with as much of an upside as any at camp. He has the "perfect" frame for growth and is very athletic.

Pair and Fulton are ours.

Stone and Clemmons? Both are Tennessee boys.

His offer list is not that impressive

I really see Clemmons getting an offer at some point. He is the perfect type of lineman for the zone blocking scheme we are implementing.

I think Clemmons has tons of ability and potential. I honestly think he is going to be a fall back guy if we strike out on some other OL

It begs the question, why in the f%$# would Scout's writers fabricate an article about Clemmons? :eek:lol:

Its not like he is some acclaimed recruit that everyone wants to know about.

What sounds more reasonable? Sab's friend of a friend's uncle who is married to a cousin is just dumb or James Bryant decided to completely fabricate an article about Cameron "who cares" Clemmons?

I spoke with my friend that spoke directly with Tony. It wasn't a friend of a friend's anything. Tony said that Cameron never made those comments. It was completely fabricated. Furthermore, he said that the comments weren't true. He specifically mentioned that the "there is only one color allowed in our house and it's orange" comment was completely made up.

Believe me if you want. I don't care. I just thought it was very curious that James Bryant would invent those quotes for a story. Tony still maintains that Cameron wants an offer from Vandy and is going to give them strong consideration.

I'll be sitting with Tony at games this fall and I will certainly be asking him about Cameron's recruitment.

I've seen Cam up close and there's no way that he's 260-270 lbs. I would guess 230 lbs, maybe 240 lbs at very most. I would love to see him in orange someday. He seems like a good kid and hangs around with good kids. I just dont see him ever being a impact player. I hope I'm wrong and he becomes an All SEC lineman for us. He would have to get a lot bigger.IMO

I just want to note that after hearing from Tony, that when I lambaasted James Bryant's article for misquoting Cam, I didn't mean to infer that the sentiment behind the article was not true. Cam's dad played for the Vols. He wants a UT offer. I will stop short of saying he would commit on the spot. He wants to sit down and evaluate all of his offers and he is sure to get more. He will give every school that gives him an offer the respect and consideration that it deserves. But he really wants that UT offer and is going to be working his butt off to get it.

Cam has the perfect frame to add good weight to and would fit in perfectly with what we are trying to do with the zone blocking. This is a legacy guy that we need badly and I hope that Vol offer comes soon.

I'll be sitting with you and Albert at the games this fall, Tony. I'm going to try and make every one.

i agree he has the frame to add some weight to add the size and he has the family legacy lets keep him in orange plus he seems to be a good in state kid that wants the offer. lots of linemen are low rated by recruiting services and turn out to be pretty good

Cam should get an offer. He would need a year to get ready, but good lookin prospect. Lock em up lane

He's been dinged up a little bit through the first few games. Not sure where he's at right now. Wilson Central hasn't played well at all. They're O-6.

Cameron's up to 270 now.

0-6 Ouch! Doesn't sound too good if he's dinged up. Gonna be hard to garner any attention without playing at the top of his game, unless they saw something in camp they liked.

1. Wilson Central changed their offensive scheme this year to a shotgun spread (terrible decision)
2. WC has an awful QB and too many big guys and not enough skill players, thus the horrible record
3. Cameron is looking hard at WKU b/c he thinks he has a better chance to start there, and Vandy sent him season tickets
