'10 TN OL Cameron Clemmons

If he looked half decent and comparable to the OL we have now, I think we should offer the guy. What happened to coaching up prospects. No one would play harder than a kid that grew up a fan of UT.

He's a legacy guy as well. IMO, you take those guys if they can help you at all. Cam is at a need position as well so it should be a no-brainer. I have confidence they will offer and he will end up a Vol.

With his height he could really develop into a nice dominating lineman. He loves UT so you know he is going to go all out for UT every chance he gets. Once you add the weight this kid could be a monster.

yeah, if we offer he commits on site.

I wouldn't go that far. Tony will definitely have a long talk with him and make sure he's not rushing into it. If we offer, he commits, but don't be shocked if it isn't immediately. The Clemmons are very intelligent, calculating folks.

So do we forsee an offer for Cam soon? Or will this be a wait till their senior yr. and see prospect?

Scout.com: Clemmons would love an offer from UT

We don't hear this stuff often enough....

“There is no doubt I would love to play at the University of Tennessee,” Clemmons said. “I grew up cheering for them, there is only one color allowed in our house, and that’s Orange.”

“UT Football is away of life for our family,” Clemmons said. “It’s always been a dream to play for the Big Orange, hopefully I will get that opportunity.”

Funny thing. I spoke with someone that spoke with Tony earlier tonight and said Cam never said any of that. He said that article was complete BS. He never even spoke to anyone from Scout.

Furthermore, Cam is not going to commit as soon as he gets a UT offer. He is working hard for a Vanderbilt offer and is going to wait and see what comes his way this fall and then sit down and evaluate all his options. I'd love to tell you this kid is all Vol, but he is going to make an educated decision.

Heading to the ring hailing from parts unknown, weight unknown... it's someone that spoke to someone.

I know it's his father that was spoken to however James Bryant fabricated all this?

It begs the question, why in the f%$# would Scout's writers fabricate an article about Clemmons? :eek:lol:

Its not like he is some acclaimed recruit that everyone wants to know about.

What sounds more reasonable? Sab's friend of a friend's uncle who is married to a cousin is just dumb or James Bryant decided to completely fabricate an article about Cameron "who cares" Clemmons?

I think Cam Clemmons is more than a "who cares" prospect, he has great size and good feet and a lot of upside. These are people we are talking about, show them some respect, especially if they are potential Vols.

way to to take it out of context

in the grand scheme of internet recruiting info/articles, Clemmons is a who cares prospect at this point, and not someone a writer would waste the time fabricating an article about.

99% of kids are who cares prospects at this point, its not some slam on Clemmons as an individual

I understand what you're saying, just asking to be a little more conscientious of what you say about prospects considering that incident where the recruit read the negative posts from a school's message board and backed off of the school (I think it was Wisconsin...)
