From the PrepTennessee site. Tennessee and Alabama offered after Stone at recent camps. He is mostly interested in the SEC.

It's not too early for 2010 recruiting is it?

Kid has a good ACT score. Won't have to worry about prep/juco.

"I got a written offer in the mail yesterday from Georgia," Stone told UGASports Thursday night.

"It felt good to have another great option, I like the SEC, and I really like Georgia, and for them to offer me is an honor. I have had a lot of interest in them before, so now I am really happy about that," said Stone.

looks like Richt is making a point of going after Tennessee kids this year

Stone measured 6'3 even @ Alabama Jr. Day. Not saying he can't play. He's a heck of a player just not 6'5 as stated on Rivals.

Saw him play against Jacquez Smith and Co. and Maplewood's O-line really played well. Easily a top 5, maybe top 2 or 3 guy in the state for next year.

He got Long from us last year. Nobody will stay out of TN until we make sure we get the best prospects to want to play in Knoxville. We need Stone as a position of need and as an in-stater...and cuz he's talented

Not sure how anybody is a must get...If he signed a couple of guys ranked higher than him, would he be a "must" get then? Are you saying this because he is an in-state kid?

You can never have too many good O-Linemen. But he is a must.

I really like this kid. He's going to be a really good player. The fact that we have to fight so hard to keep kids in-state, shows how bad of a recruiter Fulmer really was. I don't like the philosophy of look elsewhere first and work your way back home. We should start in Tennessee. JMO.

Tennessee isn't a hotbed for football recruiting year in and year out.

There has been good players come out of Tennessee. The problem is Fulmer failed to identify the talent. Hightower should have never been allowed to leave the state. Greg Hardy is another one. But Fulmer seemed like he got caught up in the stars game.

We probably wouldn't have gotten Hardy anyways. Best friends with Oher and his family, and wanted to go to Ole Miss the day Oher went. Oher wouldn't have went anywhere but Ole Miss due to his family.

I agree with Hightower though. He was just a stud we flat out missed on.

What about Chris Jordan or Barrett Green? And Golden Tate too.
