'10 TN OL James Stone

I know we are lacking at QB, but you would still think that some big OLs would want to come play here to block for BB, the best RB in the country. Not to mention our poor depth and the promise of early playing time.

They will be coming this year, don't you worry. :good!:

Along the offensive line, the sudden commitment of five-star James Hurst to North Carolina has Georgia scrambling a bit. The Bulldogs expected to be a major player for Hurst and few expected such an early decision (or that his brother from Mississippi State was transferring to UNC), so look for Georgia to turn up the heat on Nashville (Tenn.) Maplewood tackle James Stone.

Richt & Garner at it again, shades of MB?

I am so proud that i have no life and was on volnation late enough to watch the soon to be infamous "to the board" thread as it progressed. that being said, i would take all the visits, too. mine would be Miami, Hawaii, USC, Arizona St., and Tennessee

"They have turned it up for me," said Stone. "I did not get but a few letters from them before, now I get more from them than ever. They have started recruiting me pretty hard," Stone added.

"I do not have plans to visit Georgia yet, but I am going to try and get down to Athens at least once or twice," said Stone.

In addition to Georgia, Stone mentioned Tennessee, Alabama, Stanford, Notre Dame, Vanderbilt and LSU as some of the other schools recruiting him the hardest since the beginning of the evaluation period. The Nashville native also said Alabama, LSU, Tennessee and Texas Tech have also come out to see him in the spring. These schools know there is a long way to go until they find out which lucky school gets Stone.

Per Rivals... Georgia is starting to come hard after Stone. The opening paragraph of this article takes a shot at Kiffin too, talking about how even though he recruited 8 GA players to the Vols last year, he wasn't able to keep the top 2 TN prospects in-state and the Dawgs got both of them...

You know what CLT says about players who are in Tennessee and dont want to come to UT.........

He's all Vol, not going anywhere. We are shutting down the borders and at the same time cherry picking in GA backyard.

you're missing a couple things. like the fact, that it was disproven that Kiffin ever said the UGA staff had gone to sleep on in-state kids. that was a lie started by a pro-UGA guy and in this article Kipp is continuing to perpetuate that lie. so much for not trying to recruit players or provide objective journalism. someone should forward that article to some compliance offices.

if Kipp Adams is going to defame the UT coach, he should not be writing for Rivals.

also this quote caught my attention---

Coach Searels came up to my school, talked to my coach and said hello to me as well.

bump rule in play for Saint Richt. lots of people do that, so I'm not bitching about that. but I really don't like Kipp Adams publishing that crap, when it was disproven months ago.

Lol - what the heck is the point of that? "Could be". Lol - why did he even bother to write that?

Guys, Tennessee could be the leader for Jake Heaps AND Scroggins.

i think it will be a disappointment if kiffin and crew dont land this kid. but saying that i dont see him leaving the state

bama has 3 OL already committed and they took like 6 or 7 last year....we can get stone if we want him bad enough
