'10 VA DT Evan Hailes

more like Coach O said Fool me once OK(Robert Elliot) fool me twice HEEEEELLL NO(Hailes).....Hailes started backpedaling the same way Elliot was in his Ole Miss days when he was recruiting players at his position. We are in on people or already have committed enough big time talented guys that they are not going to waste their time worrying on a guy that does not want to be surrounded by great players.

Not disappointed in the least we didnt get this kid. DT will be the least of our worries as long as Coach O and CMK are on our coaching staff.

The thing is, is with his piss poor aditude I don't think he would of ever played. O will get 2-3 DT's a year and this kid would be a waste of a scholli

Not sure how he eliminates us but leaves LSU on the list if he's afraid of competition and not confident in his abilities...

Have you seen their current depth chart at DT?
Sounds like the Staff had cooled on him before he came to camp. They only give the tour and meetings with coaches if they want you. He therefore wasn't wanted. He probably would've hated the training standards here...ala, Preston Bailey.

I like Uko and Willis (currently a DE, but will be a DT by the time he hits the field) MUCH, MUCH better. Big men and fit too. Hailes was just 320lbs of girth.

Im glad he is at PSU also. He can freeze up there in November. Thats not my idea of fun when Im sitting on the bench

I understand the move. It's called "afraid of competition." We are a now a program that needs recruits that THRIVE on competition. He was the only recruit that I know of that talks about UT being so laid back. Uhh no. It's an intense atmosphere on the practice field by all accounts. He didn't compete and was probably afraid to see the likes of Anthony Johnson and other cats just tearing it up. If he wants the "intensity" of Penn State, then go for it.

Ed O is as intense as it gets, and the kid could just be intimidated by what's in store. Bye bye
