I agree but maybe someone close to him could explain it to him because he doesn't seem to be realizing that on his own. Also Broussard's grades could be an issue if he doesn't get them in check so can really use Hailes this year.

I am not as confident about Tennessee's chances as I was. He was not disappointed in his time in Knoxville, but he wasn't blown away.

New Rivals article states basically that he didn't expect Knoxville to be so laid back. Says that VT is his home school and says good things about Penn State.
Could be making a decision soon.

Sounds like he's just plain scared to come here. We should move on.

I read that too. It's funny he seems like the first recruit to feel like Knoxville is "laid back". Most come here and think the exact opposite ane love all the energy that the new staff is bringing. Interesting. It certainly doesn't look good for us right now.

Scared of competition is my guess. We clearly have no struggles getting guys at that spot now. I am to the point I feel it is not necessary to follow DT recruiting. If Coach O is here and Monte we will be stacked there.

we offer PT, cousin, and close friend....NFL defensive guru and one of the top D-Line coaches in college

what is there not to like..I don't get it

Honestly its fine with him not coming here. We are still in with some other DT's and apparently now James Cameron again. I think we take 1 more this year and I want it to be someone who wants to compete and willingness to take a game over if needed. If you do not want to compete you will just lay down in a game and not give your all when you are tired.

I don't think there will be any laying down during a game with how physical and intense the practices have been this year. Also from reading about the practices the kids seem to be buying into what the coaches are saying because they want to practice longer and work harder to get things right.
If Evan doesn't want to be a part of it because he is worried about too many DTs, then we need to move on.

sometimes, the choices have nothing to do with football things.. I heard a story of one recruit several years ago that chose NC State over us because he liked their ice cream in the dorm better than the one in Gibbs...

If that's what he based his decision off of then I think he made the made the best one for both him and UT.

He should have went to the University of Vermont.

I bet they have a sweet deal with Ben and Jerry's.

Of course, I'm not entirely sure they have a football team...

at the end of "meat market" this kid announces on tv that he is going to miss state over ole miss because of how the color of the jersey looks on him

The last thing I saw is that he should commit soon but nobody (including Hailes it seems) has any idea when that will be or too whom the commit will go to
