Aren't Coach O and Monte recruiting smaller, quicker linemen? Isn't Cover 2 predicated on quick, speedy linemen rather than the lumbering giants like Terence Cody.

We're gonna be using one big NT and our off DT is gonna be more predicated on getting into the backfield.

Haven't heard anything about Hailes in a while. Maybe one of our silent commits?

I'm not sure who recruits in VA, maybe O since its a big DL but im not sure.

If you break it i think it goes like this:

Jim Chaney: Midwest/Central US
Monte: Florida/Big time Defensive recruits
David Reaves: South Carolina/QBs
Eddie Gran: South Florida/RBs
Frank Wilson: Louisiana
James Cregg: TE/OL/West Coast
Ed Orgeron: Everywhere
Lance Thompson: Alabama/Georgia
Garza: Texas/DBs

Orgeron is purty big in the Midwest. He has done been confirmed to be recruiting the Chicago area (Milton, Prater, Cooper) this year and Wilson recruits in Mississsippi also. He was supposed to visit Carmon at some point today...

I know Orgeron is good, but he can't recruit every part of the country. Reaves got SC and Heaps. I know Garza does TX, Wilson got LA and MS. Thompson GA, Cregg CA, Gran FL, Cheney OH, and any OL, Orgeron MS, W.TN, ARK, CA, IL and any where else he's needed.

No surprise there. He's got the best relationships with the coaches down there so.

He owns Alabama. Just loo what he did there last year. Nico Johnson, Fluker, Kirkpatrick, and Richardson. IMO CLT is one of the more underrated coaches on the staff. He can recruit with the best of em.

He had a little help from Saban...

We will see if Thompson was just a benificiary of Saban.

Well let's see what he's doing and how he does this year for the VOLS instead of recruiting from BAMA. If he can sway some recruits, then I'll be happy.

New Rivals video up on Hailes. He mentions Tennessee more than any other school. But he also talks about LSU quite a bit. He said he's gonna visit UT during the season which I asume will be for an official visit...

"Sims won't stop talking about Alabama," said Hailes, who is ranked as the nation's No. 13 defensive tackle prospect. "He's really trying to talk me into going down there with him. He talks about how great it would be to see me sack the other quarterback and set him up with good field position. He's definitely excited about Alabama."

"Right now I'd say my top five are Tennessee, LSU, Virginia Tech, Penn State and NC State. Those are my favorites but I'd really love to play anywhere in the SEC for sure. Right now, that's where the best players in college football are. It would be a dream come true to play anywhere in the SEC."

Per Rivals... Hmm, look who he lists first. Dream come true to play in the SEC? Looks like a UT-LSU battle to me. He also says he doesn't have an offer from Bama and isn't hearing much at all from them...
