10 year show cause/NCAA, Tyndall discussion (merged)

Lol, is this dude trying to pump up Tyndall by referencing beating KSU and Butler 2 years ago, then pointing out how good they are now? WTF does Butler beating Villanova twice this year have to do with 2 years ago? WTF does KSU being 17-11 this year have to do with beating a 15-17 KSU 2 years ago?

And he has the stones to accuse someone else of trying to distract? Amazing.

No one should be surprised any more. The guy has been wrong and delusional at every turn in the last two years. He's got nothing and knows even less about facts (and basketball). My favorite part is that he thinks he's helping his "buddy" by being a troll on this site. Liars of a feather flock together.

"This is an appeal of the Committee on Infractions’ factual findings against Donnie Tyndall, former Head Men’s Basketball Coach at the University of Southern Mississippi. It is the position of Coach Tyndall that the factual findings of the Committee on Infractions should be set aside on the following grounds: (1) that they are clearly contrary to the information presented to the panel; (2) the facts found by the panel do not constitute a violation of the NCAA Constitution and Bylaws; and (3) there was a procedural error and but for the error, the panel would not have made the findings or conclusion. Coach Tyndall states that all penalties should be vacated if the findings are overturned, and further argues that if the findings are upheld that the ten year show-cause and 50% percent suspension during his first year of employ at member institution was an excessive penalty and constituted an abuse of discretion."

This is not a link/document. There's no way for us to know you didn't just to type all that up and put quotations around it.

I don't know how many times I have to say I have the documents in confidence and I am not about to post them. What you see is the opening argument for the appeal and that's a fact, Jack.

And it's a fact that unless you provide something, you're just full of ****. You've been wrong every step of the way, and you can't provide anything to prove otherwise.

Still confused as to how a lawyer's brief is proof that any collegiate official should be concerned.

As you know Butchna, any lawyers briefing will be completely balanced. It's not like they are trying to sway an outcome or anything of that sort.... right???

almost 9 years left on the show cause --- like the turtle said, I ll get there - sooner or later I will get there.

This is still going on? Good grief.

Seriously SD, what is your affiliation with Tyndall?

I'm trying to make sense of it all. There has to be a real reason you won't drop this.

It's been jokingly said SD is Tyndall.

While I don't think that's true, I think there is a possibility he's related to him, or is a friend. If that were the case, that might excuse some of his actions. But if he's just a fan then his level of obsession is both pathetic and kind of scary. And this isn't the only place he's done this, someone posted last year his Twitter account where he tweeted nonstop about it, and also links to several other sports messageboards, some Vols related and many that weren't where he posts the same stuff there he does here. Some of the places he even has the same eye rolling reputation he has here.

At the very least they have to be close friends, my guess is they are related though.

Makes zero sense for a "fan" (I use quotations because although he claims to like UT, his words speak otherwise) to follow this so closely and take it so personally.

I understand certain coaches at Universities will get die hard supporters, but those guys have usually done something to deserve it.

Or at least let go once the coach has moved on. I was just as high on Cuonzo as he is on Tyndall, but I don't care whatsoever about him now, other than I wish him the best.

Exactly; I was so pissed when Pearl had to be fired but I didn't start a crusade for him. After a while I just accepted it and moved on.

Here's the rest of the story as Paul Harvey used to say. It's one you'll find hard to believe but it's true. The friendship developed directly from the fact that I defended Coach T on this board from the time that the fired associate head coach, Wade O'Conner, gave the story to BR's Jason King the first November Tyndall was at Tennessee until now. This anonymous source then that 60 Minutes dug up as the second witness miraculously for their program was never interviewed by the NCAA. It stunk to high heaven at the time and it still stinks. Once again, the NCAA never dreamed that DH would go back and fire Tyndall the next day with RB in his back pocket. When they found out Tyndall had nothing to do with the academic fraud, they had to cover their butts. Enter an immunity deal with Adam Howard to have some basis to argue a 10 year show cause plus you can't coach the first half of the season if you get hired to make people think there was no way in Hades he could be innocent. Common sense is what I have used for over two years.

That's pretty much all I got out of that. And you know SD is popping his collar and strutting around like he's hot stuff because of it, too.
