Listening to the zone on way to golf this morning the high school football show was talking about local Nashville teams. Jalen Hurd was talked
about in depth. They were talking about how he will most likely play defense at UT. I thought UT recruited him to play RB. Supposedly he is 6'4" about 235-240, per the high school radio guy. They said he will be better on defense than RB in college. Anyone close to him or any locals know more about this? If UT will move him to defense, what will they do about the desperate need at RB?

You are suppose to drink during or after your round

RB makes way more sense than CB. If he was going to be defense he would be a LB. no need for speculation though, he is RB all the way

We need him to play running back the most. Ain't no way defenses would stop him.

one of the reasons he chose UT is because they are letting him play RB. a lot of the other schools wanted him to play D.

Murphy Fair knows jack-squat about what's going on in college ball. He assumes stuff alot when it comes these HS kids and how they'll be used in college.

First I've heard that he will play defense. I think the radio personalities had a few before the show started. LOL! Hurd is gonna barrel over some linebackers and such before his career is finished at UT.

"Supposedly he is 6'4" about 235-240"

That is Brandon Jacobs BIG.

That would, indeed, be Brandon Jacobs big, except for the fact that he isn't there yet. The most recent height/weight I recall him being listed at was 6-3, ca. 230 lbs., with the expectation of him playing this fall at 225-228 lbs.

RB all the way.

IF...big IF...he plays anything on defense, I would love to see him at safety. Dear lord he would kill some poor receivers.

Keep in mind yesterday we made the top 10 cut for the #1 RB in country Joe Mixon (6'2, 200) out of California who may give us a visit.

His Crystal Ball on 247sports had been predicting Southern Cal but they weren't in his top 10.

U sure they didn't say safety or LB? He is way too big for corner.

I heard the same clip. IIRC he said S.

Edit. Murphy Fair made the comment and went on to say that Hurd would slouch some when measured at camps to try and stay under the 6-4 mark. Rather interesting.
