And you would be watching the Heisman Trophy winner get on a flight back to Norman, while the UGA football team was making reservations for the NC game.

Either team could have, and should have, won the game. Mayfield didn't lose it. Nor did he win it. The point being that, in the end, it's a team game. Not about one player, regardless of how talented he may be.

(sigh) If Oklahoma had played North Korea, I would have rooted for the Kim Jong-Un's. Character flaw, I guess.

And yes, I'm a UGA fan 364 days out of the year. Put me on ignore, or pay my mortgage, and then maybe I'll change my mind. But likely not.

Yes, I pull for SEC teams against out-of-conference opponents. Even if it's...ugh...Bama or Georgia...but alas, never Florida. Once again, if it's UF -vs- Anybody, I pull for Anybody. So I get the whole "I hate UGA / Bama / pick 'em" thing.

It matters not to me, the UT football team, Coach Pruitt, or anyone with an IQ in the double digits what our conference rivals do. Win, and the recruits will come. Win against the best, and you can recruit the best.

Or you can be Southern Cal, or Notre Dame, or Michigan.

This is the SEC. We are Tennessee. Like Coach Fulmer said, we have the history, the facilities, the traditions, and the resources to compete with anyone, any time.

And that's what we're gonna do again.

It was full on 'Butch Jones'esque' playcalling from Riley in OT. Went conservative, played not to lose, which cost them the game.

Going to be tough either way for UGA .. But every team this year has TRIED to make Fromm beat them ... Only Auburn succeeded .. once

I thought the same thing about Kirby taking a knee with 17 seconds left in the game at their 40 instead of taking a couple shots to try for a FG rather than settling for OT. And CeeDee Lamb is a jersey holding punk. He had so much jersey in his hands I thought he played for the Dawgs at one point.

Soooo, they posted 45 on offense prior to OT .. hung with the best offense in the country and took their best shot allowing 41 to them prior to OT, sacked Mayfield 5 times and rushed him into one of his few INTs and ran for 300+ yards .. yep, not impressive at all.

They also signed 5 star and the 3rd ranked RB James Cook. And they have DeAndre Swift 😂😂😂

They never recruited at this level under Richt. In his 15 years they only signed two top five classes, in 2006 and 2009. Kirby had a top three class last season and is on his way to signing the number one class in February. Plus his staff has much, much better coaches than Richt ever did.
