104th Annual Rose Bowl #2 Oklahoma vs #3 Georgia

That made no sense. Like none. Qualifier after qualifier.

And I can easily point out hundreds of games that one player made happen .

You are absolutely correct in your response. I had a clear target of thought in mind, but for some reason (Yeungling?) I missed it by a mile.

Players like Mayfield are polarizing. You either love them or hate them. They can win a game (almost) all by themselves, but they can also be a complete a** in the process.

After seeing and reading about some of his antics this season, and then what he did after RG missed that kick, I just felt the need to gloat a bit after watching the Great Baker Mayfield being brought back to earth by...of all things...his own kicker. Although that was a helluva play by Lorenzo to block that kick.

Thanks for setting me straight.

Go Vols.

Not saying Fromm is bad, but the offense has been carried by Michel and Chubb. Those two are the type of legitimate stars that most teams would be lucky to get once a decade.

We had a better duo in 2015-16 in Hurd and Kamara. Both were better than Chubb and Michel. Unfortunately Butch Jones was incompetent and we never developed a decent offensive line.

Plus he says UGA will "Dominate" which is laughable. They finally beat a Great team the first time tonight.

Georgia did dominate after a flukey start by Oklahoma. Only that fumble return TD shook their momentum.

If these teams played 10 times, you know Georgia wins all 10. They're just simply better along both lines of scrimmage. The air raid can only keep you in the game against a more talented team for so long.

Didn't go down "exactly like you said". UGA didn't win by two touchdowns. They had to rally the entire 2nd half, get some help from terrible OU special teams, and it went all the way until 2 OT. This was the type of game where if you played it 10 times, they might split it 5/5.

31-17 is a tad different from 54-48 no? :eek:lol: To your credit, you got it right though! Two out of four on the "locks". You're showing improvement buddy.

I actually predicted the hot start for Oklahoma. Just thought it would last 1 quarter versus 2. And if not for that flukey fumble return TD, Georgia probably wins by 2 scores and doesn't need to go into OT.

Anyone who knows football knows Georgia was easily the better team. They dominated both lines of scrimmage in the second half after they settled down.

The flukey first half was simply jitters.

So OU scored 48 total points because of jitters? OU continually played terrible special teams football? Come on man. Be happy with UGA winning a close and tough game.

Nope. Other way around. Georgia will steam roll Alabama and let the world know in resounding fashion that there is a new king of college football.

The game won't be close.

Oh, please. Bama hasn’t gotten blown out ever under Saban. The closest game to a blowout was the 14 point loss to SCjr, 7 years ago.

Georgia is excellent at running the ball and good at passing it. Bama is excellent at stopping the run and the pass. Bama’s O is more balanced than UGA’s.

I’m not saying Bama will blow them out, but they will be humbled. As in, their run game will be stifled like it never has been this year. Bama will win yet another national championship.

The game was a game of momentum - like every college game where you have two teams incapable of completely shutting the other's team offense down.

OU dominated UGA in the first half. UGA dominated enough in the second half to catch up - then OU came back to force OT.

In the end it was a close game with two OT's required for a winner to be determined.

Neither one of the two were really impressive defensively - it was more like the offenses stopping themselves.

OU's offense scored 10 points on offense in the 2nd half of the game after scoring 31 in the first half. Don't forget 7 of those points came from the defense.

After those first 4 drives Georgia had a control of Oklahoma's offense.

The Alabama dynasty ends this Monday with a blowout loss to Georgia.

Don't say I didn't warn y'all.

Yes...and that's called adjustments. UGA's defense totally took over. You hardly get to write off an entire half because of "jitters".

Chubb and Michel, when healthy, are lightyears better than anything Hurd/Kamara were. Once again, your football Acumen is nonexistent.

No. They just had better coaching and a better offensive line.

Just watch how Michel and Chubb amount of nothing more than average players in the NFL while Kamara is already a SUPERSTAR and Hurd will be one too once he enters the league as a TE or WR.

Good grief! Give it up.

On second thought - as you are now a UGA fan, just find that board and go there.

Sony Michel's receiving skills are going to be big in the NFL.

I agree with you except for the Bama's O being more balanced .. Hurts is not a great passer by any stretch and if anyone would have less attempts than Fromm, who would have thought it would be Hurts. In fact, he and Tua combined only had 299 attempts. Fromm has a better completion percentage and QBR.

NOW THIS is one where you can say "I was the only one that said ..." because THIS takes a high level of drugs in your system to actually believe this. You do realize that this is the first year that UGAs line has been developed and gelled together since Chubb and Michel got there right?

You do realize both Chubb and Michel have missed a reasonable amount of games due to injury right? And yet they have still become the most prolific rushing duo in CFB history. Not any planet has Hurd EVER been better than either of those guys and Kamara has never had to make enough carries for us to know if he can be a featured back. Both Chubb and Michel have done that.
