104th Annual Rose Bowl #2 Oklahoma vs #3 Georgia

LOL .. I think it's pretty cool actually to hang out for games with people from other fan bases .. I usually only have one rule .. keep it from getting personal and lets agree to shake hands at the end no matter what happens. Used to watch games with LSU, AU, Bama and Florida fans prior to my second deployment .. all were other soldiers. Me and the one LSU fan watched the UGA/LSU game together that year and just laughed like "hey, no matter what happens, we both still going to Iraq in a few weeks".

I like a lot of you on here because many of you keep the chippiness out of it. You guys were graceful when I praised Dobbs after the UT win a few years ago and were sympathetic over the Chubb injury a couple years ago. Every fan base has the delusional, the jerks and the utter wackos but generally, there are quite a few quality people amongst every team's fans.

Reminds of of this commercial.

At the end of the day only the worst of us can't see past a rivalry to see we're all people.

There is a group of 4 of us that have been going to away games together for about 10 years now. We hang out with 'the enemy' and it's all good. So far, of all the places we have been I have to say that thank God I didn't go to Ole Miss, because I would have never graduated. The Grove is awesome. But everybody has their traditions and they are all cool. Actually I think I will start a thread on that. Come on over.

You've got to stop :lolabove::lolabove::lolabove: First off, its common knowledge that Mark Ingram IS A FEATURED BACK.

Alvin played healthy in his last three games and was rather pedestrian as a ball carrier with a decent game against a decimated TB defense being the only thing to talk about among the three.

And Deion Sanders??? There is a reason he is never considered one of the better analysts out there. When that's your go to card, you got problems. Face it man, you're Alvin's fanboy and you can not have an objective conversation about any of your "fanboy faves". Alvin has had a really good year but MVP???

They don't even have Kamara listed in rookie of the year predictions in this one .. you may say "well, that's just mid season picks" but that's when Kamara was really getting after it. You think they changed their minds after seeing AKs last three games ....:eek:lol::eek:lol:

Alvin Kamara was just voted 2nd team All-Pro as a rookie. The only rookie that was voted an All-Pro this year.

Your boy Mark Ingram didn't make any All-Pro team. But go on thinking he's somehow more valuable or better than Alvin.

You thinking he was trash in college once again proves you are just beyond help. You don't know the game at all, just a big fan of some of the players.

Tebow accounted for over 140 TDs, 130 of those in the last three years. He completed over 64% passing all four years, his QBR is OFF THE CHARTS! We knew you were FAR from some knowledgable football guy but this just adds to the evidence ..

Tim Tebow College Stats | College Football at Sports-Reference.com

He played on a team filled with NFL players that could out athlete the opposition easily.

Tebow was exposed in the NFL as trash once the talent on his team was no longer overwhelming compared to his opponents.

Yet that program did nothing of relevance without him while stocked with talent. It’s amazing how you say the greatest college QB of all time is nothing based on his NFL tenure. You truly are a loon.

Florida fell apart once Urban Meyer left. It wasn't because of Tebow. We've all seen how Urban Meyer won another national championship at Ohio State. If Urban Meyer stayed at Florida they would have stayed elite without Tebow.

Florida's downfall is because Urban Meyer left not because of Tim Tebow.

Yet they tanked the first year after Tebow causing Urban to fake a heart attack to leave Florida. You are insane. Like you literally should be in the nuthouse. You don’t understand an ounce of football

So now we're using one year sample sizes? Its possible to have a down year every now and then.

How about the fact Urban has not lost more than 2 games in a season at Ohio State since he got there?

Urban doesn't need Tebow. He won after he left Florida and he won before he got to Florida. A one year dip proves nothing.

Did you already get Alvin’s gold jacket size?

Florida went from 13-1 to 8-5 after Tebow left even though Urban was there with tons of 4/5 Star talent. If Tebow wasn’t great, why the massive drop in wins the minute he left?

Also, glad to know you think the Big Ten was on par with the SEC when Urban jumped to OSU

Your sample size to declare your own greatness with Kamara is currently 1 year

I am no UGA fan, but I am glad they shut Baker Mayfield up. It was a pretty entertaining game too, but I am just really glad BM lost. I don't care how talented he is or is not, I never liked him.

As far as the NC game goes, I am having a hard time seeing why anyone would pick UGA over bama, especially after the way bama beat Clemson and UGA had to play their hearts out to beat OU. It wil probably get ugly for UGA, pun intended.

More specifically the FL offense went from #6 in the nation to #83.

The difference there is you used one down year in Urban Meyer's otherwise sterling career to argue that Tebow was somehow irreplaceable. I cited Urban's success at Ohio State after Tebow showing that he would have been success at Florida even after Tebow if he had stayed.

Plus I've never said Alvin is already a Hall of Famer based on one season of production. I've said he's had a start to his career that shows he's on a Hall of Fame track and that I predict he will ultimately make the Hall of Fame.

Urban Meyer ain't Nick Saban. Like every other mortal, he has down years. His success at Ohio State and before at Utah renders this Tim Tebow talk mute.

And while we're at it, are you forgetting Florida won a national title in 2006 with Chris Leak as the starter? So even if you want to discount his success with QBs at Utah and Ohio State, just look at what he did with Chris Leak at Florida.

the word is

MOOT

I declared Kamara's greatness before this year. So I don't need any sample size to know who is great and who ain't.
