Have a cousin that came in for Mother's day today, he live's in Jackson. Said him & J. Washington are real good friend's was telling me they go to Church together & hang out all the time. Once i heard that i tried to get as much info as i could out of him, so here it is.

Say's Washington is one of the most well mannered, down to earth, outgoing kid's you will meet. Said that he make's excellent grade's & has a smart head on his shoulder's.

I asked him what school's was he most interested in & he told me that he was UGA all the way, said he loved Mark Richt. Said that he had some interest in Florida, but their was no way he didnt go to UGA. Also said Tennessee has no chance of landing him.

Take it for what it's worth but that's what i was told.

Just talked to my sources. You're wrong.

I guess he is being recruited primarily as a DB?

He is a good little player but he sure is small. I have seen him play several times. Shifty good moves and good speed.

Not a Teague though, or not when I saw him. I hope he ends up at TN as I hope to get all instate talent, but I am kinda surprised he is getting this much SEC attention.

"With the new staff and a little bit more energy and the approach coach Kiffin has taken, it seems like there is some new energy surrounding the Tennessee football program and it's kind of intriguing," Maxwell said. "Not to say he's a die-hard Tennessee fan by any means but being the home state school it piques his interest the way coach Kiffin has come in and energized the program.

"They made him a top priority in the state of Tennessee in 2011. I talked to coach Kiffin the other day and he said he's the top sophomore in the state. He's the top guy. He's the first guy they offered in the state for 2011. When they target you like that, it puts pressure on you but he's handled it all well and he's going to make an informed decision."

Actually we're the only school to offer him as a WR so far from what I understand.

I hate to say it but I was just not impressed with him at camp. He was ok but nothing like he was being hyped up to be.

Is he still considered a UGA lock?

I came away very impressed with Devrin Young and also thought Brunetti was clearly the best QB at camp though I was intrigued by Rettig. Those two stood out to me the most from TN.

You assessment of the QBs is similar to what has been said by others at the camp. Devrin Young has not had an offer yet though has he? Some say he'll be a 4 star for his class and that he'll be a markee recruit out of an unusually loaded 2011 TN recruiting class.

Thanks! I dont understand why Devrin doesnt have an offer from UT yet.....crazy....He is camping at UCLA next week. The TN coaches told him at the camp that he didnt need to go to their camp(UCLA), yet they haven't offered.I think UCLA will pull the trigger next week.....and kids fall in love alot of times with the 1st school that offers.

I'm amazed that some kids have an offer and Devrin doesnt....yet!

I'd say he will be a 4star... No schools have offered D.Young yet......but that should change by the end of the summer going into fall. I would say he will have several offers Sept 1st

I am not sure why Devrin has not been offered either. When Kevin Scott was taping vids of Devin you could tell that he was very impressed with him. He was very difficult to cover. This kid has a ton of speed as well. He is a little small. Maybe the staff are really sinking in their teeth into the 2011 class. They are starting to get the offers out and maybe organizing their footage and their evaluation meetings to get this class squared away. It's possible that after our staff compares their notes with the other 2011 kids Devrin will have a good chance of an offer.

These kids really get their names out after they start going to these kind of camps, too. Montori Hughes was a sleeper prospect, and many say it was because his coach did not aggressively advertise him and send him to camps.

they have already offered about 12-15 kids in 2011 class. IMO regardless of size you arent going to find too many kids nationally better than Devrin.....he is an amazing athlete....UT needs to lock it up BEFORE other teams see him and offer....
