'11 ATH Jabriel Washington

Spoke to his mother..
Is going to LSU-Florida game this week.
For LSU's sake that is!
He has ruled out Florida early.
Says GA leads but UT is gaining ground quickly!

I could see him returning or doing multiple things.. He will get bigger but until then he is limited to what he will do

Think this kid will play DB? or What?

From the camps he has been to my guess would be that he will be a DB and more spec. a CB, but I guess it all just depends on how big he gets and how he develops. Will be seeing him next week at old school and at his game, hope to get some interesting stuff out of him ab his trip this weekend to Death Valley.

"Well, it was great," Washington said. "It wasn't like any other visit I've been on. I would rank LSU as one of my highest (schools) right now.

"I got there around 12 and they gave me a tour of some of the campus. Before the game I got to go on the field and see some of the players down there. Then I just watched the game with my family. I talked to coach (John) Chavis) after the game and that was really it.

"It was way different than I thought it would be. I was kind of in shock. I enjoyed it a lot."

Various prospects have offered their thoughts on the Tigers' performance and their reactions have varied. What did Washington think?

"The defense played good," he explained. "They just needed a little bit more offense. They could have won, definitely."

Have a cousin that came in for Mother's day today, he live's in Jackson. Said him & J. Washington are real good friend's was telling me they go to Church together & hang out all the time. Once i heard that i tried to get as much info as i could out of him, so here it is.

Say's Washington is one of the most well mannered, down to earth, outgoing kid's you will meet. Said that he make's excellent grade's & has a smart head on his shoulder's.

I asked him what school's was he most interested in & he told me that he was UGA all the way, said he loved Mark Richt. Said that he had some interest in Florida, but their was no way he didnt go to UGA. Also said Tennessee has no chance of landing him.

Take it for what it's worth but that's what i was told.

Completely untrue. I go to school with him and play football. He has NO real leader at the point. He's one of the guys that never talks about it though so I'm never for sure. I will say that when the Big Orange smacked UGA around this year, when i started talking my smack to him, he completely disowned UGA and said they're not my team. Take it for what it's worth. He did say he loved his visit to lsu, and the chief was in the building this week. I think UT has a real chance though because we want him on offense, and thats what he loves. Any questions on the guy just ask me.

Georgia was the first offer for the record.

And Boston College was his first offer, around Christmas break of his freshmen year. And he's not very high on FL. He doesn't seem to fond when i talk to him about Urban Crier. And when Chavis visited this week, he pretty much promised him a starting spot if he were to go there, as a freshman, and Ole Miss told him they would want to do the wild rebel with him right away. Orgeron told him not to TRY to gain weight in HS, because he's afraid it would be forced weight, ex. just a lot of fatty weight. Wants him to get in a college weightroom. Jabriel is very deceivingly strong for his size though :good!:

Washington's parents are from the Los Angeles area, so expect USC to be a player.

He's SEC all the way. Loves the conference, and grew up loving the SEC. When ever were watching football, its all SEC, he was laughing his head off at USC during the Stanford debacaling. But I am 99.9% sure he will go somewhere within the SEC.

 Wow... that's a very small region. I've actually got a friend that went to Boyd-Buchanan. But yeah... 1A in Tennessee is very weak. That's why I have concerns that Jabriel wouldn't cut it in the SEC.

trinity actually played the #1 strength of schedule in the state in 2A this year.

Usj (d2)- state runner up (14-21)
Manassas (3a) 9-1 regular season i believe (21-40)
JCS (d2)- 4-6 (24-19)
Middleton- atrocious idk the record lol (42-6)
Union City (1a)- state champions (31-21)
Adamsville (2a)- 9-1 regular season (10-12)
McKenzie (2a)- 9-1 reg. season, semi finals (10-20)
Riverside (2a)- 8-2 reg. season (don't remember but an L)
Bruceton- awful (40-6)
Scotts Hill- awful (42-0)

Not a bad schedule

Not a bad schedule

Sure it's not a bad schedule... for Tennessee. Don't get me wrong. I'm a west Tennessee native, and I'm a JCS alum and former football player. He's gotten a lot better than the time he came in to replace Hewitt Tomlin three years ago. I've seen him play and he's made a couple of plays that wowed me. BUT, opposed to Texas and Florida the talent pool is shallower. I could possibly see him contributing in the SEC but for him to come in and start as a Freshman or even after a redshirt year... Not likely.

off topic but i watched him play basketball a few weeks ago and he is skinny as a rail and a terrible basketball player.. and did not look very athletic.. thank goodness he is better at football
