'11 ATH Jabriel Washington

off topic but i watched him play basketball a few weeks ago and he is skinny as a rail and a terrible basketball player.. and did not look very athletic.. thank goodness he is better at football

Saw him too. He is a little skinny and his frame would get snapped in half with a JJ or Eric Berry hit, maybe strength and conditioning will cure that though. He's gotten a lot more mobile in the pocket (he's a QB for Trinity) over the past couple of seasons. His O line was terrible his freshman (my senior) year. The D-line (with me :whistling: although I'm not claiming to be anything but decent) abused him all night. But he's gotten MUCH better over the past two seasons... Unfortunately for JCS. lol

haha my name doesn't belong on the internet, and who might you be? And like I said about the weight, coaches have told him not to try to gain weight in highschool, to just wait for the college weight room. And as far as the talent pool, he's shown coaches what he can do via camps. He's impressed many people, and I think the coaches probably know the West Tn talent level, i think they know what they're doing.

And Jabriel dropped 25 pnts last night :)

I saw him play this year and he is going to be a great player, he has to put on some muscle but once he does he is going to be a special player, hopefully he is in orange next year. Like McNatt said he did drop 25, but he did get beat (against my former H.S.)

Where did you go to school?

whose ooltewah vol? haha, im in jackson tennessee thats the complete other side of the state I think. Besides i don't think ooltewah goes to school with jabriel. lol

OoltewahVol plays football with Jaques Smith, one of the vols top recruits, similar to your situation and slides us inside info from time to time

So according to Jabriel, he said that in no order his top 3 at the moment are UT, Lsu, and Uga. He's liking that the chief pretty much guaranteed early playing time on D, but i think that if UT suggests early playing time on O he won't be able to resist that. His goal is to play offense in college, so we'll see. :victory:

2011 prospect jabriel washington (jackson, tenn./trinity christian) told espn affiliate web site duckterritory.com, "right now i would have to say my early top three are lsu, tennessee, and georgia in no order. I'm not ready to commit or anything like that. Just a couple early top schools."

he continued, "i think i have 13 offers. Some of the offers i can think of are lsu, georgia, tennessee, ohio state, georgia tech, texas a&m, florida state among others. I've been hearing a lot from oregon as well."

"i will probably take all five official visits, i don't think i will commit early," washington added. "i believe it will be after my senior season of football. I'm just looking for the best opportunity at the school i choose. I believe i understand the game very well, i think i'm a pretty versatile player. I want to get faster though, work on my speed."

Let me be Captian Oubvious here but this guy is a must have prospect. I am sick of every elite prospect in the state of Tennessee making plays on Saturdays in uniforms that are not orange.

ya no kidding. tennessee doesnt have many but there are some good ones out there. Golden Tate kills me the most. Gerald jones is the poor mans version of him. love gerald jones dont get me wrong

He plays at a very small school against zero competition. He has never faced a player that will play at a bigtime college. just saying.

a little off topic
but what does the instate 2011 talent pool look like?

Pretty solid, a lot more talent at the top than this year. The best player in state is a pretty big Alabama lean at this point and doesn't like Kiffin much so I'm not sure how it's gonna work out
