That would be a great LB class. That would be a solid foundation to our LB corp for the next couple years. Solid.

Gionni Paul just sounds like he should be playing for Penn State  The name reminds me too much of Paul Posluszny

Paul plans on taking all five of his official visits this fall and already has a handle on three likely destinations.

"I plan on taking a couple of visits outside of the state, but I'm not really sure where right now and me and my mom and my father haven't really sat down and talked about it yet," Paul said. "So I'm not really sure where, but I know three of my visits are going to be to Texas Tech, LSU, and Tennessee."

Hopefully, Florida and Miami won't offer him. He has an UGA offer and I was surprised he didn't mention them. Looks like it's UT, LSU, and FSU at the top right now imo.

His top group of schools is Auburn, Tennessee, LSU, Texas Tech, Rutgers, USF, and Louisville.

He will be camping at UT in July.

Gionni Paul, the 6-foot, 223-pound three-star linebacker from Kathleen Senior High School in Lakeland, Fla., says he now has around 35 total scholarship offers but has narrowed it down his focus primarily to four – South Florida, Tennessee, Louisville and Auburn, all of which have offered.

He says he also likes the new Tennessee coaches as well. “They are good people,” he said about the Vols staff. “Tennessee has great tradition too and they’ll be coming back up.”

so, likely, we really just have to beat out Auburn?

although the allure of being a linebacker and playing for Charlie Strong does scare me, a bit...

Well to be fair, a few months ago his clear cut leader was LSU. He stated it in a rivals and scout article.

Things change though.... we are focused on switching CJ Johnson right now.

the latest...

"I have a couple of schools I want to visit. I know I am going to see Auburn, LSU, Tennessee, and a couple of others. Like I have said before, it is early and I want to take it one step at a time."

He wont make a decision soon, we are in good shape.
