'11 FL LB Gionni Paul

Has anyone but me noticed that as a lot of recruits pare down to their top 3-5 choices that Michigan is making the cut more and more often here recently??

That amazes me -- the program is mired deep in mediocrity, and with the coach that is sitting on a very hot seat, so what is the attraction?? I understand about the tradition, but they are doing nothing to give a recruit confidence that they are even on the right track.

Any guesses?

the same exact thing can be said about Tennessee ...

Visited Louisville for the Uconn game

"I liked it," Paul said hours after returning home from his first official visit. "Now I have to sit down with my mom and dad and talk it over, but I liked it."

Paul said the UofL coaches see him as a outside linebacker or "roll-down" safety at the next level. "They think I could fit into their defense perfectly," he reported. "(They think I can) come in and play as a true freshman, that I could come in and be an impact player right away."

When asked if playing early was a big factor in his decision-making process, Paul responded by saying: "That's a big thing, to come in and play early, and just come in and work."

Paul is also planning to visit Tennessee, LSU, and Auburn, but he hasn't locked down dates for those trips yet.

Says Louisville is at the top of his list now.

Hate to break this to you but Strong's going to pull talent to UofL. Look what he did flipping 5 committed guys in less than two months last cycle. I say that Dawson will pick L'ville over Ky. Watch for things to heat up with Paul, Grooms, Shaun Ward, Ahmad Christian and Ely(now with Zach offer). Florida kids love Strong...L'ville is going to become the new WVV.

UL is like the reverse Auburn....a basketball school with a major little brother complex. Sad to see heavily recruited kids go there honestly.

If Strong proves he can be somewhat successful at UL, I bet he'll be a major player at SCjr when Spurrier hangs it up.

Demar Dorsey.

What is up with this guy lately? I read somewhere that we were in good shape with him (AJ's or Dunaway's thread) but hadn't heard anything about him in quiet a while. We really need him on board. When does he visit?

I havent confirmed the UF offered it's speculation right now. But it wouldnt matter because UF will swear that he will be a LB for them but once on campus they will put him at DE.

I believe that we need another LB in this class, especially with AJ wavering. Gionni would be a great get for us, in my opinion, and I understand that Dawson (who may be better than Paul) has scheduled an official with us for the KY game -- which is very good news on his recruitment.

I really want one of these two.

Florida just regularly ruins everything. I may get flamed by some of the older fans, but I hate Florida immensely more than Alabama.

I feel the same way...I hate the gators. I think we were used to bama sucking before Saban showed up though.

Better hope for Paul because I think we have a better shot at Bellamy (5%) than we do for Dawson (3%).

i got smashed at charlie pepper's and ended up going home with a slut at 2:00 am the morning of my P.E. exam. passed that and now i'm making overpasses for the elderly and handicapped children. be afraid.

I took the ACT while I was having my knee operated on and scored a 128. Also, there might have been a rottweiler chewing on my left arm while I was taking it but I was in the zone.

Beat that.
