'11 FL LB Gionni Paul

"Tennessee has really been there since day one. So, that really impressed me that they saw something in me that other coaches didn't at the time. Everybody else is coming around where they believed in me at first," Paul said.

He said he is definitely looking into the playing time situation at Tennessee, which is a major factor in his college decision.

"That's a big thing in recruitment, I don't want to just sit there for two years and they were being honest," Paul said. "Playing atmosphere, the people I surround myself with. I'm looking to check out something new, but there's nothing wrong to staying close to Lakeland and Tampa, but there's other great opportunities out there."
- Rivals

UF has offered. Michigan & Alabama have started to come on strong for Paul. He said he will def take visits to Auburn & Tennessee. He will try to be here for the Kentucky game. Also Paul is averaging over 20 tackles per game.

Hope he is a vol in the end. 20 tackles a game is pretty rediculous. Anyone know how good of a Division he plays in?

Plays 4A same HS as Ray Lewis....Meyer finally offered this kid after Charlie was talking him up for two season. If he played at DPHS,Apoka, Dwyer or Dade schools he would be in the Rivals/Scout 250. Has started since day one in HS. One of the players that UF will lose out on because of stars and Meyer taking out of state players. I hope UT pulls this kid so I can talk S#@T to all the gates on GB.

Closet Vol fan? :whistling:

lol...not going that far but I never disliked UT..... just sick of Meyer with his out of state crap...I understand going after Dawson, Grant and Anthony but not offering kids like Paul, JW, Shaun Ward until the end is CRAZY. Paul and Ward are bigger than ALL our LB this season besides Bostic and Edwards. I bring up these kids names and get bashed on GB...not UF caliber players BS.

Some UF fans are probably a little delusional after the success they have had in the past 5 years, eh?

Paul says Tennessee has been there since day one, which I think says a lot about Dooley and Co.'s evaluation abilities. "So, that really impressed me that they saw something in me that other coaches didn't at the time. Everybody else is coming around where they believed in me at first," Paul said. Florida and Michigan have jumped in the mix late. He says Tennessee will definitely get a visit along with Auburn, and his last two visits will be between Texas Tech, Florida, Michigan, USF, Miami and Alabama.

Sorry if that was already posted. More praise for our coaches. Gotta love it!

Try hard? Really? I'm fairly certain you may be the only person my comment didn't make sense to. Maybe YOU should try hardER.

I'm not a Meyer/Florida fan by any stretch of the imagination nor have I ever been. You're comment was truly senseless and unnecessary.

"in the cut, in the cut... rollin doobies up"

Surely we can beat a Louisville and a Auburn in Turmoil out for this kid. He needs to be a vol!!!!!!!

Paul has to be one of the Top 3-4 players left on the board because of the immediate need Tennessee has at OLB. He would really help the athleticism of that unit. Very early PT as well.

Has there been any update on his wieght. He was listed at 222 lbs. to me that would be a little light for an LB in their first year.
