11 FL OT Zach DeBell (UGA Commit)

Teams lose to teams they shouldn't all the time. After what Wyoming did to Tennessee in Knoxville, you guys should know that better than anyone. However when you do win and go on to finish 5-7 it does little to console your fans as they watch other teams play bowl games. Like has already been posted you may have won 3 out of the last 4 but you guys have only won 4 out of the last 10 so we can cherry pick numbers all day but all that really matters right now is this next season and I wouldn't wish being a Tennessee fan in 2010 upon anyone.

You Dawgs are missing the point. Richt was good at the start of the decade. Not so much anymore. Just like Fulmer was statistically the best coach in college football in the 90s. Not so much in the new millennium.

Montrell,

IT isn't just a weekly whisper anymore.

No surprise whatsoever. You could see it coming from a mile away.

I've said over and over Tennessee isn't going to get many guys, if any, that they are sitting 4th and 5th for. They are simply not making many moves with the big-time prospects, even after they visit campus.

UT and UGA are both historically better than Florida too. How is that helping either now?

The difference is neither UGA nor UT have any bragging rights against UF right now...not true at all when you compare us to UGA...

That was the gist of the post...whether you compare the two teams recently or historically there's not much ground for UGA fans to stand on...that and the fact that this particular UGA fan was implying our recent beatdowns of his team were a fluke even though a fluke is something that occurs only once...not 3 out of 4 times

Sigh

Did UGA commit NCAA violations at ‘Dawg Night’? | AJC College Sports Recruiting

Afterward the camp, coaches, players and parents mixed and mingled on Woodruff Practice Fields as media members who covered the event — there were several more besides me — wandered about and snapped pictures. As I was leaving, I spotted DeBell and Georgia offensive line coach Stacy Searels posing for pictures. I can’t be sure, but I think DeBell’s mother was the initial photographer.

Seeing Searels and DeBell together arm-in-arm, I stopped and pulled out the trusty Canon PowerShot I had in my pocket and snapped a pic of the two individuals. Later Friday night I posted the photo on the blog I had written about DeBell and Theus committing and thought nothing more about it.

Then, late Sunday night, thanks to a Google news alert I received via email, I found out that Josh Ward of the website MrSEC.com is reporting that my picture may have been an NCAA secondary violation for Georgia. What’s more, he suggests that my very presence there Friday night may have been a violation.

Whoops

The way I see it is that every Georgia commit could very easily be a decommit by November.

I have been feeling a Georgia epic collapse this year all off-season. Fans are expecting a major jump forward, media is trying to make them out to be the team to unseat Florida and I think come week 2 when they lose at South Carolina the fans will start to get very antsy.

Then if we can somehow pull the upset off their program/season will crumble and the recruits will be fleeing Athens in droves.

Only 4 of their commits are out of state. The only way a mass exodus is possible is if Richt gets fired, which I give about a 1% chance of happening this year. Even then, they can hire a real coach and get most if not all of them back anyway.
