Kinda makes you wonder if we have backed off on someone. I do know Dallas can play CB, so Dooley may take that option and give the last CB spot to whoever pulls the trigger first.


The thing that looks good to me is that UT looks to get everyone with possibly the exception of Mickey Johnson, if he commits, into school. Enrollment ranking on Rivals will be top 10, which is bigger than recruiting rankings in February.

I think that it tells us where we are with Arnett. It will probably be Young and Dallas that are our slot guys, and that's fine with me. We got plenty of size other places.

We haven't backed off anyone, I just think that the staff feels good with where they are at receiver once Young commits. Dallas is a virtual Vol Lock right now, so we are done at WR.

I agree, plus were adding much needed speed with Dallas & Young. Throw in Seymour or Buie & were adding alot of speed in this class.

Arnett isn't a realistic option, and I'm sure that the coaches know this. If the kid goes any place but Michigan State or USC, I'll be surprised. Maybe I will be.

Did you read my post? I said KR=Kick/Punt returner. I know the kid is fast. My point was why offer the kid unless the staff doesn't feel good about landing Buie or Seymour.

Do you mean this in a "those crazy coaches... they're always scheming something up in recruiting! Who can keep up with them?" way, or more of a "those idiot coaches don't know their @$$es from their hands in recruiting!" kind of way?

lol i mean it in a "i have no idea what they are doing, looks like they are gonna take 5 RBs and 15 DBs" type of way.

last year, you knew exactly what the staff was trying to do. this year, they are all over the place.

I think the coaches looking like they are changing some things in recruiting is the fact that they didn't realize the athleticism of this team. Sure on paper, it looks like we got some great athletes. However, on the field they look slow. Dooley said we needed speed after the UAB game, and I don't think it's a coincidence that we kinda upped our pursuit of Young, Buie, and Seymour.

UT has 4 RB's on the roster. Why would 7 be too many?

They'll only have 4 WRs on the roster after this year, right? One of these guys could be a AP guy.

We got alot of needs to fill instead of stocking up on RBs imo.

Not sure what the staff plans on doing with young, but I hope it's a slot/return specialist/what ever kind of other trick play they can use to get him involved type. I like smith a lot already so I don't see I real need for anymore rbs unless they have some type of game speed that can be used in special situations. Wr looks good if Dallas commits and hopefully arnett/ another. Jmo atm
