One of my best friends claims he is one of the best players he has played against. This coming from a guy who played against TJ Stripling, Sherrod Golightly, Ken Malcome, Jamoris Slaughter, Jalen Fields, and Mike Bowman.

20 on pump 8, please.

Dantzler lives just 15 minutes down the road from newly signed Volunteers, Nash Nance and Da'Rick Rogers. Like the Calhoun duo, Dantzler constantly hears from local fans on where he should attend school.

"I hear from someone everyday," Dantzler said of the constant pleading by area fans. "Tennessee is probably second to Georgia. Every day it's some random school. I'll be at the gas station getting a pack of gum and someone will tell me to go to South Carolina or some other school.

"They are in my top five," Dantzler said. "I definitely like the facilities. They are extremely nice. I came up for the Western Kentucky game and that stadium is pretty loud. Coach Dooley is a great guy. His dad actually coached my dad at Georgia. I'm totally wide open, but they have a lot to offer."
Sounds like we are in a pretty good spot right now.

"It's definitely fun to run over somebody," Dantzler said. "You will play against someone that is 5'8 who is super fast so that makes it a challenge. Our defensive end signed with Georgia so I've been going against good competition in practice. It's just fun to get out there and play."

I doubt that DE gets into UGA. Just sayin

That cant be true, remember Dooley and staff are on vacation, and not using any phones, or mail. In fact all recruits are now being recruited by A.D secretaries

In all seriousness good to hear, hopefully they can make some headway with this young man, he is going to be good.

Actually for your information, Jalen is already been accepted.

I will honestly be shocked if Watts goes anywhere other than UGA. His dad passed away a year ago yesterday. Coach McClurg (Dalton's Athletic Director) tried to get UGA to offer to Watts before Danny died but they said they couldn't yet. Watts tries to act all tough and independant but I think he will want to please his father. Not to mention his best friend goes to UGA and is a walk on for the football team.

"I'm coming up for a day of Spring practice," Dantzler said. "I'm going to have an open mind when I come out. I want to see what the coaches are like and see how they run things. Just take it from there."

per tos...

"It's pretty much the same," Dantzler said. "I got offered by Eastern Carolina today. Not that it really matters. I got letter from Lee High in Pennsylvania. It's just kinda funny to get random ones. I just toss them out. I had like 15 questionnaires to fill out so I gave them to my teammate so he might get recruited."

"Things are going good. It's crazy, but good. I'm just trying to take it one day at a time and take in the entire recruiting process."

"I'm going to go see Clemson, Duke, North Carolina and Wake Forest," Dantzler said. "I have a good friend that is a student at North Carolina so I plan to stay with him."

The attendants really should leave this kid alone. :)

Anyone else think that it's ironic that when people see him at a gas station, they tell him he should go to South Carolina?

That attendant is going to need someone to take over when he retires. No wonder he wants Dantzler to go to USCjr.

It's a funny reference...but honestly...if pumping gas is any indication of field performance...let's hope we have some pumpers in the incoming freshman wr group...

Wouldn't it be a violation for Alshon to be recruiting Watts?

"I went to Georgia and Ole Miss a couple of weeks ago and last weekend I was at Alabama," said Dantzler. "It was a really great visit. I had a chance to meet with the coaches and see the facilities and the campus and we also went to the Alabama vs. Auburn basketball game too. It was a good time all around."

"Just after halftime, Coach Saban and my mom and I met in his office. We talked about what Alabama has to offer and how he sees me fitting into their program. Alabama is definitely near the top for me as far as everything they have to offer from coaching to academics to facilities."

"I grew up a big Georgia fan. My dad played there so I was really a huge fan my whole life. But when recruiting started up I stopped being a fan of any school or any conference and decided I really need to keep everything even and make my decision based on what's best for me, not on my childhood dreams. I'm working with a clean slate now."

"My top five are Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, Tennessee and Vanderbilt but I'm still wide open. That's just the list today."

"In April I'm going to visit Clemson, Wake Forest, Duke and North Carolina over my spring break and I'm going to try to get to Auburn and Alabama for their spring games. I want to make my decision on November 16, which is my birthday. I'm pretty sure I will be able to make a decision by then."
