Yup, I'm furious. I'm so furious that I'm kicked back with a beer and a cigar, laughing. I'm not the one that feels the need to type in BOLD CAPS to make some inane point. Rivals lists him as #15 in the state "but people in Louisiana don't think so". Obviously you know more than Rivals.

Obviously you know it all, you didn't know who the guy was before Tennessee offered him. Yes, I knew who he was long ago, most people in this state still don't know him and he is not going to get an offer.

I would put him in the 3rd group of DT guys.

1st group
A. Johnson (LSU)
M. Johnson

2nd group
C. Hunter
Q. Thomas (LSU)

3rd group
D. Hodges
G. Johnson (ULM)
M. Pichon

Rivals changes their rankings when a player gets a good offer. LSU offered Tyrann Mathieu who was not ranked, withing a day he was changed to a 4-star based on the offer.

I never once said he was a bad player, to me we have limited slots and he is not a top recruit in the state, the Vols disagree and made an offer. That is all.

Ethan Hutson is the #1 (4-star top 250) center on rivals and most probably won't get an offer from LSU, so what, plenty of good players will be left on the table.

They bumped Mathieu up because he dominated at UTs and LSUs camp. He shut EVERYBODY down at UTs: Ambles, Milton, Landry, Arnett, EVERYBODY. At least 2 of the Rivals guys were on hand to watch that exhibition.

Still never figured out why Monte didn't offer him. I guess size, but he is a player.

And if offers really mattered to Rivals, Kyler Kerbyson would be a 5.9 4star and Ethan Hutson would be about the 15th best Center.

I don't claim to know anything about the kid. But if you're telling me that he's not even a top 100 player in the state of Louisiana yet Rivals has him at #15, guess who I'm going to believe? Hint : it certainly won't be the forum warrior. I'll take the word of the experts over you. And for some reason you keep bringing up that he's not going to get an LSU offer, when I don't know anyone on here disputing that, or that really even cares for that matter. Not sure what an LSU offer has to do with anything. But by all means, keep stating that fact like it's the end of the argument.

Ok, go look in top 600 by rivals a few months ago, go look for his name, you won't find it. I said AT THIS TIME, he is still not a top recruit and won't be getting an offer, as quite a few good players won't. Rivals moves ranks based partially on OFFERS, they don't actually go see every kid.

My personal opinion is he is maybe as high as the 5th best DT and worse 7th, I would put him in the 3rd group. That does not mean he is not a good player. LSU has no interest as far as I have been told and doubt there will be interest after the comments.

I actually agree with that, I didn't really start this.

The reason I why I brought up Ethan Hutson is because La. is loaded in talent this year, and LSU will have limited spots this year. I would put Hodges at 2-3 star which is where rivals actually has him.

I actually said if Hodges were coming to the camps and worked hard you never know but he would have to work hard and hope Mickey Johnson doesn't commit.

I understand that he wanted and LSU offer and didn't get one, and won't be getting one. My comment was more to the fact that you keep reiterating that when it's no longer in question. Everyone knows that he won't be getting an LSU offer. It's in nearly every one of your posts. My question is why do you feel the need to keep stating it?

If you go back you will see people keep attacking me on this subject, I am fine with whoever he gets an offer from. Heck, maybe Florida or Alabama will give him an offer eventually.

I am fine with moving on from here if someone else doesn't want to bring it back up.

Rivals is stating that UT is in Hodge's top 4. They also state that the bad news is that we are the only school in his top 4 that he has not visited. I tend to believe that if we are in his top 4 and that is indeed without the visit, that would be good news. I am not a recruiting analyst by any means, but this kid looks like he could be a solid defensive tackle in the SEC at some point in his college career. Any thoughts?

what do you say LV, 4 DL this year? more, less?

Drew, Hodge, Wright, and Gosha are four that come to my mind immediatley. not sure of the realisitic ability to land two of them, but it would be nice. Pagan would be great, but thats a very longshot, IMO.

UT will def. take more than 4 DL this year...UT only has 3 returning DE's after '10...
