The Vols recently have offered North Carolina prep standout Christian LeMay.
Lemay, who finished with 1,800 passing yards, 300 rushing yards and 20 touchdowns in his sophomore season. His father, Stacy, used to be the Florida football team chaplain and in the last couple years moved the family to the Charlotte area to start a church.

on his performance in Athens.

For a prospect with obvious dual-threat capabilities, Lemay was one of the more well-groomed passers of the day. His footwork and coachability were evident from the start. He quickly picked up what the coaches were teaching and zipped the ball with good velocity and arm speed. What was most impressive, however, was his ability to drop from center, hit his third or fifth step, plant and throw on time. He seemed very comfortable with what was being asked of him in each drill circuit and carried himself with a calm, confident demeanor. Lemay will be one of the better prospects for the 2011 class and a guy who isn't just an athlete playing quarterback, but rather a passer who is an athlete.

If he isn't the #1 Qb prospect for 2011... then the guy in front of him would have to be amazing. 4 Year starter written all over him.

From what I can see on his highlights, this kid has excellent accuracy for a sophomore, or any player for that matter.

- Can throw across his body well, something that not a lot of QB's can do.

- Can make most every throw needed, and could have a huge contribution in Lane Kiffin's offense. Has no trouble with the deep ball

It's not very often that you hear talk of a can't miss prospect that is still two years away from signing a letter of intent. But there may not be another player quite like Christian LeMay. The 6-foot-2, 190-pound sophomore quarterback is already drawing attention reserved for seniors including getting a major push for FSU who could be the team to beat for the future five-star.

Is the Gator forum that bad that you have to give constant analysis on this one?

Honestly, yes. You guys have way more going on here.

On the Gator forum, conversation typically starts AFTER we get a verbal. You guys start when the guys are in 6th grade...much more interesting.

I would venture to say we will see this young man in gator blue. Which sucks, because he looks like he will be a great player.

Butler High quarterback Christian LeMay is becoming a national college football prospect. LeMay, who will be a junior in the fall, has nevertheless been grabbing recruiters' attention and already has numerous scholarship offers. He added more luster to his resume Sunday with his performance at the Scout.com prep combine at West Charlotte High. That capped a remarkable weekend; Saturday he performed well in an Elite 11 Quarterback camp in Athens, Ga. LeMay, who is 6-foot-2 and 190 pounds, impressed again Sunday. He showed excellent athleticism and threw the ball well in one-on-one drills. LeMay has offers from Clemson, Florida, Florida State, Illinois, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest, among others.

Because it's the opposite of what a qb should do.

they said he's already one of the best in the country

He would be #1 Qb in this class if he was eligible. He will likely be #1 next year. Either him or there is a kid from Fl that people are raving about but I haven't seen his film.

I can see him in Orange. If that other QB in Fla. is worth all the hype then we'll get him. The Gators can have the QB that's in Fla. and we get the best QB in the nation. Just my hopes and wishes.
