'11 SC S Pat Martin - UT Signee

I am not sure that USC will have room for him with how we stand on other DBs...he will be a great player, none the less.

He is a great player but I wonder how much Carolina is even still recruiting him when he has left them at the alter on visiting so many times.

It's been a while, but I like this site so I figured I would share the news I know. Martin is still all vol, but South Carolina has him thinking about it. I expect him to be a Vol when all is said and done.

Traveling Man: Martin said he's still "100 percent" for Tennessee, but plans to take at least two more official visits elsewhere.

Martin said he would fly to UCLA near the end of the season and will also get a closer look at Arkansas.

"Teams are still recruiting me," Martin said.

Martin will make his official visit to UT for the Alabama game.

I don't think Pat Martin comes to UT. I hate to be negative, but I have never had a good feeling about him. I have never thought he would stick to his commitment and I don't know why. Let's just hope I'm wrong.

Pat and his JL Mann teammates got handled tonight by the Byrnes Rebels 54-0. Not sure about Pat's stats but I doubt they were very good.

True. They are getting better and better on offense and that showdown with Dorman will be a great game.

I had a cousin play football at Byrnes, that's really the reason I even know about them. At one point I'm pretty sure they had a nice little streak of state championships in a row, I want to say 4?

Byrnes is one of the best HS football teams in the nation. Very well respected. Corey Miller, Marcus Lattimore, and Brandon Willis are from there.

Wasn't there another player from there that went DI last year? I'm thinking his last name was Jazz

Your thinking of Jazz King the WR that went to play D1 ball. Their QB from last year, Chas Dodd, is at Rutgers tearing it up.

I don't know a whole lot about him personally, but what I do know is that he sure is recruiting very hard for UT. Hard to see him shy away from UT in the end. TIFWIW.....
