My father is a MTSU alum, and we usually go to a game every year. I really enjoy seeing them play, and I always pull for them against anyone but us. I hope Martin does good things for them.

Good pick up for Middle. Even though the two programs are night and day different, MTSU has shown what coaching consistency can do for a program. Not only do we have wins against Georgia Tech and Maryland, we have beaten Vandy every time we have played them since 2001 (3 times). Not too shabby for a mid-level FBS school that played in the Sunbelt (now C-USA). We open up with Vandy again in 2015. As a Vol fan and Middle grad, I am doubly looking forward to that game, win or lose.

Good for MTSU. I'm all UT but I'll cheer for MTSU as long as they aren't playing against UT.

You wouldn't think so, but I went to MT and being primarily a UT fan almost got me in a half dozen fights at bars.

i would think this is a HUGE get for MTSU
was he the kid that UT recruited thier butt off for, and he left the team like the first few weeks of practice

Whoa calm down my fellow Vol, like u say we're all on the same team. I'm sorry if the fact that I found it funny that Martin left UT, bc he thought he should've been starting right away, just to end up at MTSU offended you. But that is a pretty big step down going from the SEC to Conference USA, and that's not meant as an insult, it's just the way it is. My original post was directed towards Martin not MTSU, and you took it and ran from there and tried to tell me how great MTSU is and gave me reasons why they've been better than UT lately. And like any red blooded American I responded and tried to make the point that that's comparing apples to oranges. Again, it wasn't intended as an insult to MTSU, nevertheless you took it that way again. I've got nothing against MTSU, in fact I'd like for them to win every game they play outside of UT. I'm not the one who started this silly argument, that was you. I'll gladly leave it at that bc like I said I've got absolutely nothing against you or MTSU.
