need more evidence that he is solid to the vols? Check his phone and you'll see a lot of calls and text messages from other vol commitments and prospects.

"me and deanthony text," martin said. "i text with (alan) posey and vincent dallas and gabe wright. I've been working on gabe and lateek townsend. He's trying to set up a visit the same weekend i visit tennessee. Hopefully we can change his mind and get him to come to tennessee."

Agreed. Can't wait to have him in Knoxville. The passionate ones that recruit for you are keepers.... Pat Martin is a keeper.

You obviously have a 2nd grade reading comprehension skill set. Read my post on that thread carefully -- I did not even hint that we would ask Pat to look elsewhere. I said that if we bought in both Lanier and Moore, that a few of our DB recruits, possibly including Martin, might look elsewhere OF THEIR OWN ACCORD.

I have a hard time understanding why that was so hard for some to read and comprehend.

For the record, I have always been a Pat Martin supporter, and I am glad he is a Vol.

Watching Pat Martin's highlights make me glad he is a Vol. He does something most highschool players don't. He hits hard, wraps up, and drives through people.... That is a solid and nasty combination. Kid is legit.

Don't listen to the Negative Norberts in here. The REAL Vol fans are thrilled to have you, as am I, and we appreciate your spreading the word about our program's rebirth. I see you as a future emotional leader on our team, because of your willingness to be a Vol. Thank you for giving your all for Tennessee, even though you haven't even played a game for us yet.

As for recruiting for the Volunteers during the week of Shrine Bowl practices Martin says there's one guy in particular that he'll be working heavily to try and sway the Volunteers way.

"Lateek Townsend I will be talking to a lot about Tennessee," Martin told us.

What's your opinion of Pat Martin Jmo? The reason I ask, I have never had a good feeling about him. I don't know why, but I just haven't. From the moment he committed I have had the feeling he would never stick with it and sign with UT. I hope I'm wrong, but I can't help the gut feeling I have. I just feel like he is gonna change his mind for whatever reason. Do you think he's solid?
