"Coach Thompson called my coach a couple of weeks ago and has expressed interest,” Helton said. “I have a lot of interest in Tennessee. It would be a great school to attend.”

“I have gone to a lot of games there,” Helton said. “I went to camp there this summer. I’m looking forward to getting to know the new coaching staff. I definitely grew up Orange and White; my mom went to school there.”

“I love everything about the school,” Helton said. “The football traditions there are incredible. The game day atmosphere is like no other in the country, there really is no other place like it.”

This is an in-state LB to keep an eye on. If we take 4 LBs this year, this guy could end up with a Vol offer. He is the kind of smart LB that we seem to be after. He came to Knoxville for Junior Day in February.

He holds offers from Syracuse, Air Force, Duke, and UT-C.

As a sophmore he recorded 90 tackles. His junior year he had 99 tackles, 2 sacks, 6 forced fumbles, 1 fumble recovery, and 1 INT.

that 4.16 shuttle says he's athletic. was supposedly the fastest shuttle that anyone posted at UTs summer camp last year.

i don't think we will offer this guy. just saying it's a name to watch.

I think the average 40 time for LB's at the NFL combine was 4.7 fwiw.

He can't be any good, he is a white kid from Tennessee. I don't care about your shuttle time and facts.

This guy looks like a solid prospect I think that if we are short on linebackers in this class around December he may get an offer if he haves a good season. He looks like hes got some decent speed and he has very good size for a high school kid im not saying this kid could be a star but if he has enough heart he looks like he could play in the SEC. My neighbor goes to Baylor and I will ask him some stuff about this kid and see what kind of player he is.

Hoover is the epicenter of the Bama Bang Universe. Literally 90% of the guys there have them. I was glad to see John Propst rocks the long curls.

Why do they still rock them????!!! WOW!! LOL. One could get away with them from 97 to about 03, but after that, cmon guys.
