Great kid, athlete and student. Hope DD takes a serious look at Helton. Watched him play a couple of games last year and was impressed. We have gotten several Baylor players in the last few years that have and are doing great.

Dang hes a beast I know alot of the teams that he plays against arent very good but he looks like a solid prospect.

Would he commit on the spot if we offered? He does look like a very talented linebacker that takes on the lead blocker and does a good job of discarding. I think this recruit is tricky because he is good but is he good enough to replace someone higher on our board?

The kid looks fast, tough, aggressive and well coached...could definitely be a nice pick up for us...but I think we have some bigger fish on the board right now

First of all its Tennessee. The highschool talent here isnt very good. The competetion is decent but compared to the other prospects that we are recruiting at linebacker. The competition that Baylor plays isnt anywhere close the the competition in Georgia or Florida.

I'd rather have another Al Wilson than another Nick Reveiz

That's funny because Baylor actually played a Florida HS team a couple years ago.

And last year they played an Atlanta team and demolished them until they put in the backups, though I can't say how good that team was supposed to be

I think that walk-on kicker who took over placekicking late last season came from Baylor as well.

Here we go...don't listen to all the folks saying "TN high school football sucks, they don't produce enough D-1 prospects". Baylor plays MUS, St. Benedict, Brentwood Academy, Pope John Paul II, Ensworth, MBA, etc. All ranked top 12 in AA ball. The competition isn't "weak"

Absolutley. That made 3 Baylor players on UT's team at one time. Helton is a great talent that is being coached (asst) by one of UT's former greats....Eric Westmoreland. This should be one of Baylor's better teams this fall also.

Seen him play and dont think he quite good enough for an SEC offer but will be a solid smaller college player
