'12 GA LB Khalid Henderson

I'd say that guess is too high considering the NFL combine record is 46 inches.

Uhh...that's an official vertical leap where you don't bend your knees up or anything. I'd say his feet are about 3 and 1/2 up in the air. That isn't unreasonable to estimate.

This has been an intresting discussion about a picture of a kid jumping in the air, but in all serious he does seem like a really athletic backer

How high up do you think he is? I'm trying to compare that jump to an average 17 year old's jump.

At the combine in Atlanta GA, where he won MVP, he posted a 30 inch vertical. Here is the link.

I was gonna say 30 and I scrolled down and saw your post. It looks deceptive when you pull the legs up. I had a 30 inch vertical in highschool. Now, it is a bit less. :cray:

That's the reason I asked. I'm 17 and I'm in the 30 ballpark. I don't know my exact number, but I was at 27 last year.

30 is a solid, athletic number, but not special. Add a couple more inches and up, and you are pretty fast twitch

Not very big, but has great feet and runs well. Solid backpedal. Makes decisions fast, then quickly gets to his intended destination. That speeks both to his football IQ and general athleticism. Like the fact he's not only excellent against the run but has the speed and hips to stick with running backs on pass routes.

Based on the earlier comment from Farrell and this comment from Neibuhr I wouldn't expect Henderson to get a 4*...probably a 5.6 or 5.7 3*....

However, I don't know how you can think the above about a player and not give him a 4th star based on size when he is the same size as 14 of the 28 4* OLB's you currently have on your website

Your right he will probably be a 3* on rivals. ESPN has him as a 4*, and I would put ESPN right up there with anyone when it comes to evals. Rivals is terrible at evaluating. Only thing I dont like about ESPN is they dont rank JUCO players.

Has anyone actually confirmed his size? I only ask this because there is a youtube video where he won the MVP of a camp in January. Yes, it was 6-7 months ago..but they said he was 192lbs. If he is less than 200pds...he has a ways to go to play LB in the SEC.

This doesn't make any sense to me considering ESPN's nearly unlimited resources. Its like covering the NFL draft and then not reporting anything about free agents or trades.

I read on Volquest that he was 6'1.5" and 208lbs at our June camp...this was barefoot with workout clothes on...

He does look a little smallish in the Rivals highlights but that was almost a year ago...based on pics I saw from the June camp I definitely believe 6'2" and I would guess 205-210lbs....

190lbs at 6'2" is pretty thin

For an SEC LB, yes.

208 would make me feel alot better. He should be able to come in around 215-220pds then and would be alot closer to seeing playing time.

I agree with you 100%. Hopefully after the way Cam and Farrely(Spelling) showwd out last year it will show them that they need to get in there and evaluate them. We would have been ranked much higher in their rankings last year with Moore,Couch and Lanier. There is no way ESPN shouldnt have the best of everything with all the money they have and throw around.

IF you believe 208lbs...which I do...then 220-230lbs shouldn't be any problem for him to get to by this time next year...

Maggitt was 200lbs this time last year and now reports have him at 230lbs+

"Has anyone actually confirmed his size?"

JMo and Sab have left the building. Go fish.
