I don't see how he's going to hold up playing linebacker in the SEC. He may be a career special teamer.

Kids put on weight from HS to College all the time. I know it's hard to believe but just because he might be 200lbs now there's no reason to believe he won't be 230+ by September 2012.

Curt Maggitt, for example, was ~210lbs just last fall and is now close to ~240lbs.

Henderson won linebacker or defensive MVP at some football camp in GA this summer. He started getting some attention after that and then, shortly thereafter, committed to TN.

On the video where he was presented with MVP honors, I'm fairly certain the commentator listed his size as 6'1" and 191 pounds. Henderson seemed to concur with this on the video. Those were his measurables at the camp. TIFWIW

I can't find the quote but I remember reading that he measured 6' 1 1/2" and weighed 208 when he was here in June...that was barefoot in gym clothes...

I think 230lbs is a real possibility for him

Actually, they fired the guy who admitted to that so you have to give them credit for that...
They fired the one guy honest enough to admit politics are a big factor in their rankings. I'm not sure I give them "credit" for that.

I believe Taylor was about the same size before Meyer had his dream...

Does getting an insignificant star, from a recruiting service that caters to fans ( not coaches ) change the players ability at all? Why do people care if a player gets some stupid star or not?

I went back and looked at the pictures in the first few posts of this thread...

If he is 6'2"...which I believe based on several things I have read...then he is too thick to be 190lbs...I believe the 210 is much more like it

On another note...does anyone have that pic of him jumping at camp? It looks like he is standing in line getting ready to do a drill...it's a crazy pic if you all haven't seen it

This one?

If he's just jumping straight up, he has a crazy vertical. Based on all accounts, this kid is an athlete.

FYI...I asked this question on the Rivals main board:

This is the answer I received from Farrell:

Funny that Lorenzo Phillips is top 10 OLB at 6'1 200. I forgot...he's a Muschamp recruit going to UF. Though they're both solid, I'd take GA competition over LA competition any day.

I'm trying to compare it to the guy standing behind him. Kinda hard to do from the camera angle.

Haha. I feel that if the guy standing directly behind him were to come forward to Khalid's current position, Khalid would be sitting on his head. Possibly higher.

When you do a vertical test it's not how high you jump plus pulling your feet up. They test them from a stand still. They measure your height plus reach first. Then test your vertical. The kid has hops for sure but he's not breaking the combine record.
