If he is a Sam backer, and cheats to the twin side, 4.7 is plenty quick to blow up any bubble screen or jailbreak screen. More important than his speed is the quickness to recognize the play and take the correct first step. LB is ALL about the first step.

Agree. Just responding to the earlier post stating he is all speed, speed, speed. I would argue that he has good speed. Patrick Willis is speed, speed, speed.

How is Hendersons season going so far? Last stats Jmoore posted are pretty impressive.

is peters better suited for olb then henderson? i read on the peters post that tcu was looking at him and one poster said that peters would be alot bigger loss then henderson. just curious to hear other peoples thoughts.

If they had to suit up and play against Alabama Saturday then Peters is the better option, no question.

That being said, it doesn't take long to see Henderson's potential if you watch his film. He is more of a project but his speed and athleticism are already excellent.

May be old news but I just read that Henderson won't be enrolling early as originally planned.

Also read he talks to Justin King and Jason Croom quite a bit.

I really liked the play when he snatched the ball from the QB and ran it back for a TD. I think Henderson maybe an under the radar type player.

A RS year will do wonders for him...

He needs to gain some size, learn our system and fine tune some of his technique (i.e. form tackling, scraping, etc.)...

But you can't teach the athleticism and instincts that he shows in that video....Sirmon definitely has alot to work with and I could defintely see Henderson being an excellent player for us...

He's already as good or better than any LB we have not named Johnson or Maggit

He will need a RS. He is going to have to get better with angles and he will need to work on his foot work. He missed some tackles in the film because of those two things. Alot will come down to work ethic with this kid. I think he can be a good player in time but he is going to have to improve. He has the tools to do that from looking at what he did at camps.

I think he might be the most athletic LB we recruited. If he can be in the 2 deep early, he won't redshirt. He helps us upgrade the OLB position tremendously.
