Every kid that commits early knows that this is a possiblity. It is only the ignorant of the process fans that do not understand and get upset over this.

They will darn sure know its a possibility now. Not because the staff will say it but because it will be used against us by competitors.

You don't really believe that do you? I am sure that someone in recruiting has already compiled a list of kids that have had the same treatment by every other SEC coach... if not worse. Those opposing coaches know that and more than likely won't open that particular can of worms.

Saban's practice of cutting guys if they didn't produce got alot of media play... recruits didn't care. Each recruit believes in his ability. It is a teenage universal tendency to believe "this won't happen to me" anyway.

This should not be a big problem.

With Wilcox and Sirmon gone I guess DD now goes with hat in hand back to Henderson.

The problem is with the reputation that a college coach gets with the high school coaches in a particular area. HS coaches are a small, relatively tight, fraternity who can exert huge influence on their players. Dooley needs to be careful about the reputation that he is developing. Saban can get away with it because he wins.

Dooley can't win, and now he's running off recruits.... Hope he has a very good back up plan...I might start to think he's sabotaging this program on purpose.

Please tell me you aren't really this stupid...

I bet you were one of the people complaining in June when we had only 2 or 3 commits too.

This happened last night before the news of Sirmon and Wilconx...Henderson said it's because Dooley was waffling the last time they talked...this has nothing to do with Wilcox and Sirmon...so no...it's not 2 in teh way that you meant

Again, never understood his commitment to begin with. We need the space, and he's a casualty of that. Welcome to recruiting.

I see you missed the big news this morning?

Both these players were deemed not good enough for our team before we lost S/W. DD didn't want a tiny LB. He had hoped that he would develop better than he did, and when he didn't, he got told to look elsewhere. We knew this was happening before today.

Is the other de-commitment Imani Cross, or is there another? I haven't heard but Cross and Henderson.

“[Cutcliffe] said he understood my situation, and that’s not how they do business.”

wow Cutcliffe
