'12 GA RB Imani Cross (Nebraska Commit)

Dude is slow. He needs to get some Nike on him. Looks like he's running in mud. Straight doodie IMO

Not trolling, being serious. He's slow. Watch his videos. He outruns little white kids. He's slow.

The Nike stuff is me kidding. Him being slow is the truth.

Who cares?

He's a 230 pound monster with great vision and will run people over. We need a big physical runner in our backfield that will wear defenses down in the 4th quarter. 4.6 speed at 230 pounds is not that slow btw.

He didn't try to run people over in the video I watched. He tried to run around them. He won't be able to do that in college because he is slow. Hence my point...

Wouldn't he be stupid to bother running over people he can run around?

I'm referring to him going down on first contact. He doesn't run anyone over. He has a distinct size advantage and doesn't use it. Maybe his newer videos are different, but the one I watched wasn't impressive.

Jacob Hester was slow. How'd he turn out for LSU?

Minimum of like 3 players to take him down. Guaranteed 2-3 yards on every play he had the ball in his hands.

What does that have to do with the guy never breaking tackles? The video I watched showed him outrun slow white kids and never run anyone over. That was Hester's specialty...running people over. Cross hasn't showed me he can do that yet. Maybe his new videos that release this season will change my mind.

I'm almost positive that Cross came back from an Achilles tear last year in like 2 months, which are the only highlights he has playing for North Hall. If you ask me, I think he was still injured...

Not trying to convince anyone, but I really hope imani sticks with us. Dude has unlimited potential IMO if not limited by the injury. RB's this big and THIS STRONG, with legit 4.5 speed don't grow on trees.

Plus he smiles when he raps. I like that

Guy has 4.5-4.6 speed what more do you want? 230 pounds and runs a 4.6.......have you ever ran a 40 or played any sort of athletics for that matter. That speed plus power is elite stuff. Like the poster said above me this is a high potential guy, and by year 3 I can see him being a beast.

He's already 230lbs. D1 S&C programs better make him all lean muscle in order to save the weight. He'll turn into an LB if he gets any bigger.

Obviously, they know what they're doing, and I'm sure everyone on the staff is under the impression of keeping him at RB.

Imani, if you are reading this, do not pay any attention to the guy i quoted above, he is just one guy and he does NOT reflect the feelings of most volunteer fans.

He's been blocked a long time ago.

Yes, I guarantee I'm more athletic than you. Back in 82' I used to be able to throw a football a quarter mile.

You're probably 5'4 tall and wide. Get off me!

Can't argue with that all your info seems legit.

This is just a thought, but with 4.6 speed and being 230 pounds if he has good hands (which I think I remember them saying he does) could there be a possibility that the coaches might see him transitioning into a fullback/h back at some point? Are we recruiting any true fullbacks for this class? Maybe they're bringing him in as a straight running back with a thought to converting him into a fullback later if that's how he developes. Just a thought.

Already talking about switching positions :)
