The good programs have a clue. Of course they're wrong sometimes. But generally speaking, TX, UA, LSU, USC etc. don't have the best classes by happenstance.Actually very similar and close..no huge difference in talent. Nobody wanted the honey badger and LSU struck gold with a last second offer. Not one person knows how a kid will turnout.Nobody including evaluators, coach's and definitely nobody on Volnation or Any other board has a clue. You just have to hope they do.
The on field production is off the charts! How do they compare to Autry?

This is JMO but an article was written on Lawerence this past Sunday & Tennessee wasnt even mentioned, he said he was down to Boise State/Kansas State & he would be deciding later this week. Autry commits to MSU on Tuesday then out of nowhere this guy shows up on campus yesterday.
Could it be that Autry was indeed a silent & Lawerence was a back up plan & once Autry switched the staff scrambled to get Lawerence in for an OV? Hmmmm......just thinking aloud here.
Very similar on-field production between the two.
JUCO DE DeMarcus Lawrence:
69 Tackles
21 TFL
12 Sacks
1 Forced Fumble
4 Fumble Recoveries - 1 TD
JUCO DE Denico Autry:
81 Tackles
13 TFL
11 Sacks
2 Forced Fumbles
How old are you, 12? Go get hype about a dictionary and quit acting like you're a football guru. I'll trust the coaches over you, thanks.
Thanks! Did they play the same amount of games? Is there a difference in the competition?

Miss. jucos are a lot better than Kansas IMO. But Couch did play out there if I'm not mistaken.
Lawrence played for Butler County Community College and played 12 total games. Autry played for East Mississippi Community College and also played in 12 games. I am no expert, but I don't think there is too much difference in the competition.
Lawrence played for a good squad. Butler County CC actually won their conference and region finishing with an 11-1 record and also finishing ranked #2 in the post-season national poll. However, Autry played for the better squad. East Mississippi CC finished #1 in the post-season national poll. Either way they both play the best JUCO competition out there and put up similar numbers.
I also found some differences in the stats posted earlier for Lawrence and the official stats reported of Lawrence from his team's website. This is what Butler County CC's website had Lawrence down for:
66 Total Tackles (47 solo, 19 assist).
27 Tackles For Loss (for a combined -82 yards).
10 Sacks (for a combined -43 yards).
2 Pass Break Ups.
9 Quarterback Hurries.
4 Fumble Recoveries (for a combined 38 yards and TD).
1 Forced Fumble.
A little different than what was posted earlier, but still amazing stats considering the TFL. 27 is ridiculous. That is really getting in the backfield.
Add to that EMCC was putting up NCAA '12 numbers on offense. Most games the defensive line was playing the pass from the second quarter.

Almost every powerhouse school wanted Autry, while only one really has offered Lawrence. Of course they could be wrong, but more often than not, those teams aren't consistently the top programs because they can't recruit. It's just homer spin to think this guy is close to as good a recruit as Autry.
Heard on VQ that he was down to K State and Boise. I think the TN offer changed it though. Gotta help that he is from SC. UT is much closer to home.
I would say you are exactly right.
