Someone (don't remember who) mentioned this guys recruitment on here about a week ago, so it didn't just now come about.

Well Big Mo was this guys host tonight and I had the pleasure of meeting him. He was pretty quiet and I tried not to be that guy and drown him in recruiting questions, but he did say that he was really enjoying his visit (albeit absolutely nothings going on around campus and it's raining). He said he wanted to visit here and expressed it to his coach earlier in the year, but was told that we weren't interested or something. Didn't take much from the comment.

He also stated that Boise is on him the hardest, but that K State is right behind them. He likes the area and situation for playing time here more so than at the other schools. Judging by the way he spoke of us I would say if we recruited him hard, then he'll be in orange and white.

P.s.-also, if this guy wants to play end in the SEC, then he needs to hit the weights hard. He lacks size IMO (no homo). A good 20-30 lbs wouldnt hurt.

Another thing he mentioned is that he could graduate in January, but didn't mention anything about being an EE.

I played high school football at North Augusta High before going to UAB and played against Lawrence at Silver Bluff and Schofield at South Aiken.. I can say that Lawrence took my head off. Hardest hit I've ever taken. Jet Sweep Y-trap Right.

Sounds to me like the picture painted between UT and Autry wasn't really as pretty as it seemed to the public. To me, it looks like the staff had a back-up plan already established just in case Autry didn't choose UT. I just want to know the real story behind Autry's decision. Probably won't ever get the 100% truth, but oh well.

Be careful how you use 100% around here. You'll get slammed...... :)

Anyone else find it funny that pretty much every UT JUCO recruit's name starts with a D?

Actually noone has a clue. Yes they do work out more often than not but still kids peak as HS seniors and others peak in college. You never know.
Of course we don't know.

But the fact remains that a 5 star DE sought after by a dozen powerhouse programs is almost always a better prospect than a 3 star prospect being recruited by one.

There's no comparison between the 2 other than their JUCO DEs.

Not overly impressed with this guy. You shouldnt take a project type player like this from JUCO. He is no way ready to start here and IMO JUCOs should be guys able to come in and either start or contribute on day 1.

He looks alot like Juda or the kid from Georgia last year everyone got all hyped over because he was a sleeper.

Demarcus looks extremely athletic but lacks technique in a big way. He is getting pushed around by some pretty small OL compared to SEC OL so imagine what will happen to him at this level.

You just cant reach on a kid like this with only 2 years to play.

You attack me for looking at a film and saying I'm not hyped up about this guy. Dude grow up. Isay he's blowing contain in his highlights. Watch his film. You'll see it. What was our problem last year? Contain from the ends. Why would I as a fan want to see more of the same. Like I said we'll see when he gets here but I'm not going to argue with you dude. Where the hell are you from? You don't even post over here. I evaluating players in some of my off time. If I'm wrong I'm wrong hell rivals misses on a lot of players why can't I??????

I also like to watch film... so not saying anything about that... but it looks like he is doing exactly what he is being coached to do...he is getting a down block every single time he comes down...so if you would rather have your DT driven down and your end still in the 9 tech., than thats your scheme i guess....

Head1

So in your opinion the productive off the chart numbers are just smoking mirrors and a result of bad competition?

I was talking more to the dude that wanted to s*** to me. I really don't know what defensive scheme has DEs just going inside every play. Lol
