if the situation were right he would reunite with peterson. its looking like the ucla/peterson thing will not happen. wilcox didnt care for m brown last year, said he was arrogant and assumed wilcox would take the offer because it was texas. but for anyone to say 100% fact that wilcox isnt going anywhere is very bold this time of year. ive heard it from the horses mouth, if the right situation were to arise he would be gone.

he likes it here very well and is happy here. but take for instance if the oregon dc job came open, he would be gone in a second if they called and sirmon would be on the same plane with him, unless made him an offer he couldnt refuse.

i think we're safe this year in retaining both of them. wilcox would not take a hc job like memphis. the only thing that bothers me is peterson is wanting out of boise, he and wilcox are very close. but even then it would have to be the right situation for wilcox to leave.

Thanks skeeter. JMO, but with the addition of the 3 amigos, and what we have at linebacker, and with the new speed we have coming in at DB's, it's my opinion, jmo, that Wilcox and Sirmon would love to stick around for a year or two just to prove a couple of things. #1 - they know how to recruit and build a defense. #2 - to take a storied program (UT) from the depths of despair back into contention in a couple of short years.

Sweet baby Jesus I hope you're right. I actually had to argue last night that Franklin's recruiting momentum wouldn't propel them past UT.

How effing bad does that say things are when I have to argue that point?

"I have a good relationship with coach Thompson," Autry said. "We had a good visit. Tennessee is still very much in the mix."

Autry visited the Vols back in July officially and he said what he's looking for in a school hasn't changed.

"I want a plays where it feels like home," Autry said. "The depth chart is important. Being a junior college player I want to go somewhere that they have an immediate need and a place where I can jump right in and play."

For the year, Autry has 76 tackles, 13 tackles for loss, 8 sacks, and 2 forced fumbles.

Mo Couch coming in the summer really started to get into his own mid-season. Can't wait for the EE's to come in, get a dose of big league football and start contributing at the start of the season

Guys im just being objective. Go Vols. For Autry, it has to be about the path to the NFL and a possible Nat'l Championship Game trip. We only offer one. If I were him, i would NOT take a chance on Dooley and the staff.

Yeah, if I were a Juco I wouldn't want to come to a place where I could start from day 1. A place that has amazing facilities and a good chance at winning 8 + games in the SEC next year:crazy:.

Objectivity? Would you care to explain to the group why you think UT is a sinking ship? Please feel free to cite any statistics, coaching changes, player transfers/attrition, or recruit decommitments. Why wouldn't you take a chance on Dooley? Sorry, losing to UK is not a valid answer.

No, dont go to MSU, go somewhere else entirely, and losing to UK is a good example, as well as going to OT with Vandy, and UAB last season. Hope im wrong and he makes an impact here, although staff has shown no ability to put people in the right positions to make plays. Where has Rivera been the last 3 weeks?

Rivera was nothing before the staff got here
