'12 JUCO RB Marion Grice

I know they haven't yet , but I'd be shocked if they didn't. He is going to be a good one for A&M.

A&M's RB coach isnt a big fan of JuCo RB's. He has never offered one, and although Grice is definitely worth the offer, its still not a fersure he gets one. I hope he does though.

If A&M doesn't want him , we will take him. You're not getting Jacobs though , sorry. :)

we shall see. this is a HUGE weekend for A&M. Devall, Jacobs, Moore, Sentimore, Aziz ****tu, and Kendal Sanders are going to be their. There is a rumor that Santos might show up, but i doubt that. Also, i A&M is hosting the Number 1 prospects in basketball for 2012 and 2013 in Shabazz Muhammad and Jabari Parker. HUGE HUGE weekend for A&M

I still laugh that Aziz can't have his last name posted on the forum. :eek:lol:

Also FWIW Grice said himself that if A&M offers it's over.

Kid sure does have a boner for the Aggies. Did he grow up being a fan, or does he just want to play in Texas? If he just wants to play in Texas why don't he sign with one of the other loser Texas programs. Surely SMU or Houston or Rice would love to have somebody with his talent.

You guys don't have a shot in hell at Shabazz Muhammad.

A&M may not offer because he is going to want to be in the two deep and Christine Michael will return for A&M and be their starter next year, so he will have to beat out Jay Tolliver for their second spot. Michael is really good.
Presumably he would battle M. Lane for the starting spot at UT and could possibly beat him out. We have a very solid class right now. If he visits for an SEC game, especially UGA or LSU, he could be persuaded. A&M may offer just so we don't get him, since we are now in the same conference and he could probably be in there 2-3 deep. A lot like Urban Meyer did with every big time DT we went after.

My thinking as well. I just don't know the angle the staff is going to take over the next four months.

The only quibble is the part about player hoarding. Grice could go to Arky or Miss Stake if he thought he was just being stockpiled.

Who is Tolliver??

It's pretty much the same schools but I am starting to hear more from Houston, Purdue and Texas A&M," Grice said. "Other than that it's still pretty much the same ones.

"I'll take all my visits after the season. I just want to finish my season before I do all of that. With my games on Saturdays I really don't have time for visits right now."

"I'm a downhill runner. I juke, but I don't do too much juking and stuff. I take the contact to them."

Grice expects to make his decision very late in the process. He will have three years to play two.

When Grice says that it's pretty much the same schools, he is talking about the ones that have offered him (Arkansas, Baylor, Houston, Kansas State, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Purdue and Tennessee.). As already mentioned, A&M has yet to offer him.

So far this season Grice has 491 Yards Rushing on 59 Attempts & 8 TD's.

Aggie,

What are the chances that you all offer Grice?

not very good IMO. our coaches are not very big on taking JuCo RB's. Grice is a special one though. He was supposed to come to the OSU game but was having transportation troubles and never got a chance to talk with Sherman. He plans on taking an OV for the baylro game. Once he talks with Sherm we will know if he gets offered or not. Sherm never offers a kid until he gets a chance to meet him in person.

A&M won't get Shabazz, I don't care if he comes visits your school eight times. End of story. He will go to Kentucky or Duke. On top of that Tennessee is a top 40 all time winning b-ball program, A&M not in the top 50, so put that one down in your record books.

Regarding Grice, I have no idea what's going to happen, but I don't like our chances. In regards to A&M, not offering a kid until he meets him sounds like something Sherman would do. His stupidity will be demonstrated again this weekend after Petrino lights you guys up.

You can find out a lot about the recruit by talking to their coaches, guidance counselor, parents and so forth. I honestly don't know if this kid will make his Tennessee visit. If he is having transportation problems from Brenham to College Station, I can't imagine the problems he will have to get to Knoxville. Wish we still had Willie MG on payroll to cut him a check. He loves hosting Texas running backs.
