Interesting... Could be that we moved on cause of grade issues and he isn't an EE anymore? Him coming in the spring was a big part of his appeal wasn't it? I know he's a stud but if he has to learn the playbook in the fall then the difference between him and some other stud wrs we have coming gets smaller. IMHO that's all.
I lived there for 3 yrs....let's just say i'm glad i'm back in Nashville.
I will say that Knoxville is not a bad city to start a family.
I have been in Knoxville most of my life, was raised here.
If your only experience with this town is on the hill around the college life ... well I would care much for it.
I live on the bad side of knoxville (South) and love it .. wish everyone could be so blessed... JMHO
Gotta have some friends or Knoxville will suck. Not big enough to be a singles city, but campus life/the fort is cool and if you know enough people there is always something going on.
Lots of singles in Downtown. Don't know when you went to school, but if you graduated before 03, downtown probably sucked. There has been a lot of improvements in the last 7-8 years.
I left the hallowed grounds in 94, but downtown was fairly happening back then. Just had to know where to go. Man I miss Knoxville.
How dare they change glockers name to haslam building?Yeah going to Old City where BW3s and Sullivans was back in the day was cool. It's been a few yrs since I've been back to Kville, but downtown was pretty nice compared to when I was there. It wasnt a "know where to go" type situation anymore.
I will admit I wan't a fan of some of the upgrades they did, and not a fan of them moving The Rock across the street from where it was. Also, didn't they change Glockers name? Not cool. Als, I haven't seen the finished product but don't think I like the idea of the condos across the river from Neyland.
I don't really want to wade through here so can someone explain how we this guy was pretty much a sure thing and now all of a sudden he's probably going to UGA? TIA
Isn't a definite answer and not many people know. I don't think Patterson and UT are completely finished. There is still a chance he comes to UT, but it is looking more UGA now.
The rumor is the staff was really turned off by the fact that Patterson decided he wasn't going to be an EE anymore. They had really banked on Patterson being an EE and being able to arrive a semester early, go through spring practice, and learn the playbook. Apparently Patterson didn't seem quite as appealing to the staff after they learned he wouldn't be an EE, with him being a JUCO and all.
There are also some rumors of grade concerns. I personally don't believe that UT has backed off in anyway. I think UT probably isn't quite as interested after learning Patterson won't be an EE, but I also highly doubt UT has stopped recruiting him.
