The tide has turned it sure seems like. The fact the Dooley and Hinshaw are still recruiting him hard only tell me that they're not confident in him being a VFL as many claimed her once was. Georgia is definitely a better situation for him and the "awesome" visit doesnt help matters. Sure hope I'm wrong, but I think something definitely has changed--not for the better.
I don't live there, but Knoxville is a great town. I wouldn't mind living there at all.As much as I love the Vols, Athens is awesome and Knoxville is meh. I don't think the college town atmosphere will be the deciding factor for a guy who is probably only going to be spending the better part of 18 months in a place. He's going to go wherever he thinks he can get alot of national exposure and have his techniques honed to ensure a first round selection.

Which is part of the reason I don't think he'll be coming here, unfortunately.

I have been in Knoxville most of my life, was raised here.
If your only experience with this town is on the hill around the college life ... well I would care much for it.
I live on the bad side of knoxville (South) and love it .. wish everyone could be so blessed... JMHO

-UGASportsCordarrelle Patterson - Wide receiver, Hutchinson Community College (Hutchinson, Kan.): As a wide receiver, Patterson doesn't play a position of great need for Georgia, but a player with his talent can't be overlooked. Patterson has an impressive combination of size and speed, and Georgia could use him on offense and special teams to create explosive plays. Since big plays help every phase of the offense, Georgia has made Patterson one of their top targets. Tennessee was once thought to be the leader for Patterson, but the Vols have backed off of the JUCO star to pursue other options at the position. Patterson was set to enroll early, but that is no longer the case and his decision could come down at any time. At the moment, Georgia, Arkansas, Auburn, and Baylor are all in the mix for his signature.
"Derek Dooely and Darin Hinshaw were with Cordarelle Patterson Tuesday night and we were able to catch up with him for just a brief moment Wednesday night. Patterson, the nation's top junior college player according to Rivals.com, said the visit was good and the coaches just went over things he already knew.
When asked about his visit to Georgia Patterson said it was, "Awesome." He did add that he will take two more visits and said he didn't know who they would be to yet. But, a good bet is that one will be to Arkansas." -VQ
I do not like that he used the word awesome, that might be the first time he didnt use the word "good" to describe a visit.
Thought this article on UGASports.com presented a very interesting take on Patterson's recruitment. Apparently UGA has already counted UT out of the race for Patterson. Does UGA know something UT doesn't? I know there have been rumors, but I didn't think it was fact yet. Here is the tidbit on Patterson:
