I like Clear and all but I'm wondering how much of a deep threat he is at TE. Can he really work the middle of the field. I do think he'll be great in the run game. And I have no doubt about his athleticism and hands. I'm wondering about how fast he is.

IMO You don't recruit TE to be a deep threat. We have Hunter, Rogers, Arnett, and Dallas as our deep threats. TE's usually run drag route's across the middle or small post route's across the middle. Not saying that they can't get loose doing a crossing routes underneath coverage but mainly we use them for underneath. Again, JMO.

He doesn't have to be that fast. He has impressed with his speed though to be as big as he is.

He's too damn big for safeties to cover him and the run game is going to be good enough to keep the LBs busy.

He's close to being too big for linebackers to cover him too. Dude is giant.

JUCO WR are such a gamble in the SEC imo. Sometimes they pan out but most times they are average at best. I just don't put much stock into juco film on that side of the ball bc the D is ususally watered down. But his film is sick; seems too easy to times. Hopefully he turns out better for UT than Carol Moore did for UF.

His film is sick. He looks like Moss when he runs. He is amazing as a returner. It's kind of weird with him being that tall and making it look so easy.

New article on 247. Read on VQ that he had good things to say about us in the article and he is going to try and make it back up here this summer.
