How good of a shot at this guy?

It's been insinuated that UT has a very good shot at signing this kid. I was kinda skeptical when I heard they were looking at 4 WR this year. Seems like I picked a bad time to stop sniffing glue to doubt the anonymous internet message board voices.

Croom will be a TE. Other guys like Bowles or Redding could be moved to defense. We'll see how it shakes out.

Not sure why it's hard to believe we would take so many receivers. We only have six on scholarship. And with Zach prone to injury that's not enough. The ones have are talented but I'm all for getting 4 or5 more especially as talented as the ones we are in it for are.

2nd year.

This is technically the third recruiting class that will come in under him. He was hired in January 2010. I understand the timing is tight there, but Hunter and Rogers did commit officially under his watch (I understand there was behind the scenes work going on while Kiff was still here).

Because we have far more pressing needs at EVERY other position, and a limited number of scholarships to use. With our stacked corp of young receivers, I thought we'd be fine with one WR recruit... instead we already have four! (Bowles, Croom, Redding, and Blanc) How can we possibly take Patterson at this point???

The thing that really baffles me is why a JUCO prospect like Patterson would want to go to a school that already has several NFL-caliber players entrenched at his position. If immediate playing time is his most important consideration, then Tennessee is honestly the worst place he could go.

Bowles could end up at DB, Blanc will be a S, Croom could end up at TE, and I doubt the #1 WR in the Juco ranks is worried about getting playing time VS a pair of WRs with about 30 career catches between them.

As long as we get 3-4 more DL guys, I could care less where the other ships are used.
