I agree with most of the OP's on here. Murray is a solid QB but he's totally overhyped by the media. There is no way he's up there with Bray and Wilson IMO. Plus he has had the luxury of playing an extremely easy SEC schedule this year.

UGA didn't have to play any of the Top 3 teams in the league (Bama, LSU, Arkansas) and they lost to the 4th best team in the league (South Carolina) at home.

Really that describes UGA as well. An average team with the easiest schedule in maybe SEC history.

and the most important part he's got 2 full yrs under his belt compared to bray's what 8 or 9 games?

Yet Bray is already much better. Go figure.

The way I grade a QB isnt about how pretty he throws the ball or how mobile he is. When it comes to being an NFL QB can he read the defense and go through the progressions and make the right read / throw. Murray in the games I have seen him doesnt look off the primary receiver very much unless he has to scramble and hes not very accurate on throws deep down the field. Dude should have had 600 yards passing on UT but he couldnt get within 5 yards of the WR on most of the deep throws with no pressure.

yea but bray hasnt done much yet you guys are crowning him greatness before he's done it

i see you guys are talkin about nfl potential i agree bray's is higher but again let the kid prove it on the big stage

Not saying that at all. All we are saying is Bray is already better than Murray with less experience. Sure Bray hasn't faced alot of top defenses but neither has Murray. Bray almost has as good of stats as Murray and he missed 5 games. We are saying that Bray is the best QB in the SEC, but if you look around the SEC that isn't saying a whole lot.

You may be able to outrun McCullers but I would bet that Bray could hit you in the back of the head wit the rock from 70 yards out.

This is what I don't understand from Vol fans.

You say Murray is average and he hasn't really played anybody good. Well lets take a look at what Mr. Bray has done.

Last year he played the last half of the schedule that included Ole Miss, Vandy, and Kentucky. I'm sure I left out another team that was horrible last year.

This year he played Montana, Buffalo, Cinci, UF, UGA, and Vandy. He looked good in the first 3 games, but any average QB would have looked good against your first 3 opponents. Bray didn't exactly set the world on fire vs UF and UGA, he looked average at best. Bray looked average and rusty vs Vandy.

He's not there yet folks, calm down. I will give you that he is probably the most talented and the QB with the most potential in the SEC. I thought he would prove himself this year but obviously he suffered a bad injury. He'll get his opportunity next year again.

Damn, did you even read what you quoted before you posted?

AND its not "Vol Fans" Its everyone.... Herbstreit, Dodd (FWIW), Mike and Mike, fill in the blank. The top two QBs in the SEC are Bray and Wilson. Listen to the national Sports Shows; Murray is a sidebar and its usually not favorable.

UGA has so much more talent; maybe that overshadows all that top QB talent Murray has.:question:

My bad, I actually quoted the wrong post.

Talk is one thing but performance is completely different. I'm not saying that Murray is better than Bray, that's comparing apples and oranges.

You guys can have the best QB in the conference, we've been there before. I want a QB that can win SEC conference championships and put us up for an opportunity to play for a NC.
