Yeah, he should cut down to a dime bag a day.

Got it so in the same link you provide at Knox Vegas Vols he lists those same 3 teams among his top 4...I must be smoking the good stuff!

Not trying to be antagonistic just sharing whats out there about common recruits...

Atm, it's between Michigan and Tennessee. Long way to go, however, one thing is certain the signing class of 2012 is stock piled w/ talented DT's and DE's...areas of need for Tennessee.

If e cant get stocked up this year at those positions we probably never will. Your right its a very deep class at those positions.RB and WR is another.QB not so much.

+1. Its a deep class across the board at DT and LB, especially DT. It has to be addressed this year. Way too big of a need and way too many talented DT's out there. If they end up with a bunch of marginal BCS type talents at DT it will be a monumental failure. They should be able to land at least 2 of the Day, O'Brien, Pipkins types in this class.

Yep. He has to get it done this year with DTs.

I posted it in the DT evaluation thread but forgot to put it here. During the live Rivals chat yesterday they made the statement that Mizzou is looking good with Pipkins and that they have the momentum ATP. I am sure that getting a verbal from Boehm didn't hurt either.

It would hurt bad if O'Brien commits to Mich and Pipkin commits to Mizzou. That would be a real kick in the ####.

Fortunately, the 2012 class is loaded with talented DE's & DT's. Currently, there are eight (4*) DT's that are considering Tennessee. Pipkins is one of the eight and Tennessee is in his Top 3, as the Vols are for James (although grades are a concern) and O'Brien too. Having Arnett recruit him is a plus.
Long way to NSD but signing 4 top-rated D-line prospects look very promising for the Vols.

Michigan leads, if they get Pipkins that basically ensures that we get O'Brien

I think you're right. Right now Michigan is the only school that really scares me of snatching O'Brien away, so if they did get Pipkins it would definitely benefit us. Hopefully, we pull Day too.

Let them have Pipkins. I'll take that trade for O'Brien and Day 7 days a week.

Racist IMO.

We could realistically land both. Arnett's family is hopefully going to play a role in the end.

Michigan fans are searing up and down they only want one more DT, O'Brien is at the top of their board, but Pipkins is 2nd and is a big Michigan Lean, Day is 3rd

of course this is from fans, not coaches or anything so tifwiw

Exactly, A fan said they were only taking 1DT in this class. They could take all 3 for all we know. Just having to say that we only get what Michigan doesn't want says plenty.

Kansas City (MO) Park Hill DT Ondre Pipkins informed GoBlueWolverine Sunday evening that he will visit Michigan July 31st. The Michigan native is one of a handful of highly rated defensive linemen vying for the Wolverines lone remaining scholarship for an interior lineman.

As opposed to pace who gets his info straight from the coaches. O'brien also told pace who his leader was, just forgot to tell all the paysites that he talks to weekly.

Guess someone had to fill in for SGM around here...
