'12 TN ATH Sheldon Dawson

Yeah. That's been cooking for a while. He looks like a good player. Did you dawgs take him as a CB? That's what I would assume.

One of the main reasons he chose us was because we sold him on being the next Brandon Boykin.. so yea CB, might be our only DB this class

I hate to encourage any Mutt fan, but it's pretty likely that there will be at least a 2nd, and maybe even a 3rd. Close family member who's a tard for the dawgs knows everything about their recruiting. At least, according to him he does, but he's called everything right so far.

The only other DB on the radar is Redmond and I really doubt he switches, him or any other flip/commit would be a total surprise

We supposedly have a silent according to multiple credible sources.. no idea who it is or position though

It's a surprise, according to him.

God, another great player who wanted nothing to do with us. Our recruiting of Memphis is a complete fail.

Redmond would have been nice, but Tennessee didn't even pursue Dawson after he camped at Tennessee. He had a very poor showing at camp. The fact that they got to see him in person and came away unimpressed makes losing him no big deal at all.

UGA freshman defensive back Sheldon Dawson will interview with an NCAA representative on Friday, according to the Memphis Commercial-Appeal’s Kyle Veazy.

Dawson’s high school coach told the newspaper that “Dawson expects the topic of conversation to be about Mississippi State.”

When asked to confirm Friday’s meeting between Dawson and the NCAA or the nature or it, UGA spokesman Claude Felton told the AJC, “We cant confirm or deny anything because the University prefers not to comment on NCAA matters, but also the NCAA prefers that schools not comment on NCAA matters.”

For Mississippi State, it’s appears to be the latest in a wave of bad news for the SEC school.

Last week, Mississippi State acknowledged in a press release that it was investigating “a potential recruiting irregularity” with the NCAA.

Last week, The Dispatch reported that there was an NCAA inquiry involving Mississippi State freshman defensive back Will Redmond and a car.

Also on Tuesday, the Jackson Clarion-Ledger reported that Mississippi State has disassociated itself from an unnamed booster for “impermissible contact.”
