I have heard that he is most likely going to stay with Memphis. Mostly just "looking around" to garner a little more attention with the recruiting websites (for next evaluation) and to possibly get a few trips out of the deal. Plus it makes Larry Porter look like he won a major recruiting battle with the bigger SEC schools.

Not saying that he can't/won't flip, but that is something I have heard from several people that are usually pretty spot on with the Memphis kids.

Is Dawson the speed guy we are looking for at RB?

I know many project him as a CB but his JR video is mostly of him tearing it up at RB and I've read that his SR film will be even more impressive wehn it comes out...

At 5'10" and already in the 175-180lb it looks like he could easily get to 190+ and maintain his speed and quickness...

One would assume our chances are even better with Porter out now

Memphis coach got fired. First SD says they better hire Paterno if they want him to stay. Then he says he's still committed. May want to watch this situation. I think he de-commits.

Will Gross was big in helping get SD to commit to Memphis. Gross basically bailed on Memphis the minutes Porter was fired this morning via twitter. Kid supposedly really wants to stay close to home. My guess is he ends up at either Ole Miss or Memphis. Deciding factor will be which one gets Hugh Freeze.

I still think he ends up at Memphis with Ole Miss as option 2, and Tennessee would be option 3. Kid is a Memphis fan and he and family want him close from what I have heard.

247 has him as a soft verbal to Memphis. As of today they have him with UGA as his leader. Any chance the Vols can get him?

Don't see it. Apparently we cooled on him after he did not have a very good showing at camp per hubbs

Not sure he is wanted at this point...I think UT has narrowed its list of recruits to 5-7 kids and are really trying to close on them...JMO

I hope he doesn't go to UGA; maybe, he will stay with Memphis if the Vols have no shot at him as he looks to be a very good prospect.

If all seven were to commit, would UT take all seven and ask some recruits to look elsewhere?
