Laura told us, that his mom "was kind of put off by the way the TN staff treated Redmond at the beginning of his recruitment"

which would explain the above statement...

Word is that he is taking momma to MSU tomorrow...not good for TN if she is already wanting MSU.... do not recall her making a TN visit.

just an update on our front.

Redmond spoke with our 247sports guy yesterday

quick summary:

of UT, he says everyone knows them in this state, and people want to play for the home-state team, that is where i grew up and my sister is going to UT...

of MSU, they have shown the most interest of any school, showed me a lot of interest at their camp...

already kind of knows where he is going "And I based it on being able to trust those coaches at that school. I asked those coaches a lot of questions and I always got the same answers."

he and his mom are visiting MSU today, says he liked it the first time i went and now she wants to see how it is

If I was a being recruited by colleges I wouldn't really think about bringing my parents unless it was one that I was really serious about attending there. I don't recall him bring his parents (mother) to UT but maybe since his sister attendz UT she has probably seen everything she needs to see there. I think Redmond may want to do his own thing and go to MSU.

Im not so sure honestly....i think his MOM prefers MSU...but he prefers UT...like some one mentioned earlier. I don't think she liked the way the UT coaches handled Will...but....he may be already past it, wanting to be with the "home-state" school

Or it could be as you said...letting momma approve of your choice...but im not sure that's the case...

I'm not really sure what to think from those quotes. I believe Redmond wants to be a Vol, but the fact that he's bringing his mom to MSU today doesn't make me feel as confident about our chances when he announces. This may get interesting.

Makes me think that he really liked UNC, but now he's checking out his 2nd favorite (or I'm completely full of it).

Really don't know what to call on this one. I can see him committing to either school. He obviously really likes both schools, and with him taking the visit to Miss State with his mom just before his announcement, it doesn't look good.

Think the worst and hope for the best.
