'12 TN ATH Will Redmond (MSU verbal commit)

This has been an interesting recruitment. Hope we get him, but I wish him well if we don't. Seems to be a much more level headed kid than his team mate.

Really don't know what to call on this one. I can see him committing to either school. He obviously really likes both schools, and with him taking the visit to Miss State with his mom just before his announcement, it doesn't look good.

Think the worst and hope for the best.

I think that if he picks UT, he would stick with it and mom would learn to warm up to the staff/decision.

If he picks Miss St., I think they would need to be worried until signing day about TN. As long as the kid favors TN, they are going to remain a threat. (Numbers and such pending).

CCB has been his main recruiter to my knowledge. Let see is he can settle momma down before Monday.

Apparently Laura from Scout got her days mixed up...

he moved his visit to friday so his sister could make the trip.

You guys tell me, isn't she enrolled at UT already?? Or is she a freshman this year?

I have no idea. It wasn't until I read where she is visiting MSU that I realized she was pissed off at the amount of playing time she is getting at UT.

I feel the same way based on the information we're getting from our "insiders", but it wouldn't shock me if Redmond is lying to everyone, including our coaching staff.

Gabe Wright and Lamar Dawson really messed with your head huh?

The recruits that take it down to signing day are much more frequent to be the ones who tell coaches one thing then do another.

If they are commiting around this time, the program that is going to land them usually has a pretty good feel for what is going to happen.

Hubbs has basically been saying Redmond has been a Vol for awhile now, but MSU has made a recent push which is why it looks like he'll be visiting there this weekend.

Nah, it's not really those two. It's his teammate and his friend Byron DeVinner who would love to get another laugh in at UT's expense.

I'll still say Vol, but wouldn't be surprised if something else happened.

"Mississippi State, " Redmond said. "I got there at 8:30 this morning. It went great. I enjoyed it. They talked about pretty much everything, like what I want to study. I talked to a lot of people. I met with [head coach Dan Mullen] at different times. I met the president, too. I met with Coach Mullen more than once. We just talked about being part of the program, being part of the family. That's what he spoke about the whole time.

With Tennessee, " their exposure and history behind the school" stand out, Redmond said. The Vols also might have one other thing working in their favor; Redmond's sister will be enrolling at Tennessee this fall.
